  Peter Gordon Meldrum was born at Puslinch, Canada West, on October 4, 1850. He married Mary Alice Fisher of Whitby Township at Oshawa on December 23, 1873. At the time he married, we was working as a teacher at Hamilton. He became a physician in Whitby in the 1880s and 1890s and died at Ayr, Ontario on May 25, 1915 at the age of 64.
