  SMALLWOOD, Emily Elizabeth Passed away peacefully, at Freeport Health Centre on Thursday, June 28, 2012, in her 94th year. Beloved wife of the late Stanley. Loving mother of Gordon Smallwood and his wife Mary Ann of Kitchener and Karen Simon (Smallwood) and her husband Rudy of Guelph. Dear Grandmother of Chad Krolouski and Amanda Dreyer and Arlan and Braelyn Smallwood. Dear sister of Pansy Stoker and Jean Scott and the late Evelyn McRae, Clarence Titley, Dorothy Hough, Ada Merriman, Rupert George Titley and Wilfred Titley. In her early years, she worked closely with her late husband, Stan, starting the family business which continues today as S.G. Smallwood Inc., manufacturing transformer and inductor components. Emily enjoyed a wide variety of activities with her 9 brothers and sisters, 2 children and 4 grandchildren. She was also quite happy playing her piano, "working" in her flower garden or creating her oil paintings. The family cottage was always one of her favourite places to spend the summer. Emily was also quite involved in volunteer work at the Emmanuel Bible College. Visitation for Relatives and Friends will take place at Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St West, Kitchener on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, July 4, 2012, at 2 p.m. Visitation one hour prior to service.
