  In Galt, on Monday afternoon, August 31st, at 2 o'clock, Elizabeth, wife of James Stoakley, aged 65 years and 3 months. Galt Reporter Sep 4 1885 pg 8 ______________ Death of Mrs. Stoakley This well-known resident of Galt, whose weary pilgrimages from her residence on Oak street to the town and back had become one of its features, passed to her rest on Monday afternoon last. For a long time past she had been a severe sufferer from dropsy and asthma, and an injury she received to her foot a short time ago hastened her end. She was aged 65 years and three months.
