A note from William Cecil McGrath of Galt, Ontario (KIA Vimy Ridge Apr 9 1917). This was probably the last thing he ever wrote on the chalk wall of a WW1 tunnel. His battalion was hiding in a tunnel preparing for a surprise attack at Vimy Ridge. This note and several others were found during a subway dig in 20I0. This note was featured in a documentary. Thought it was fitting to return his note to the Galt Cenotaph some 99(now 102)years later. I found his name on the Cenotaph memorial and taped his message to the base. Thanks to Mark Groshens for telling me about the documentary and image today.
