A-1-131 Balthaser Moogk Probate of the will of Balthaser Moogk of the Village of Preston, Carpenter, deceased, on the petition of John Roos and George Roos the Executors named in the said will and which will is in the words following namely

This is the last will and testament of Balthaser Moogk of Preston…First, I will that my Executors hereinafter named as soon as conveniently may be after my deceased do pay out of my estate all my just debts, funeral and testamentary expenses and provide for the proper maintenance support and education of my children. Second, I give and devise unto my beloved wife Salome during the time of her natural life all the benefits and interest accruing out of the remainder of my estate not required for the purpose aforesaid. But in the event of her second marriage my will then is that she shall then only have one third of such benefits and interest. Third, I give and bequeath unto my Executors all my real estate of what nature or kind soever ; as also all my chattels and other personal property, in trust to dispose thereof to the best advantage whenever they may seem fit to do so, granting them the privilege of leaving the said real estate and personal property in the possession of my said wife during her widowhood, if my Executors shall deem fit so to do but upon the decease of my said wife, or in the event of her second marriage to dispose thereof, as aforesaid and to apply the proceeds as herein more particularly set forth. Fourth, My will is that the remainder of the proceeds of my estate after paying my just debts, funeral and testamentary expenses and providing for the proper maintenance, support and education of my children, and providing for the amount due to my said wife as aforesaid shall be equally divided among and between my children, share and share alike, payable unto them upon them respectively attaining the age of maturity. Fifth ; And my will is that my Executors shall reimburse themselves out of my estate for all expenses, trouble, loss of time and disbursements which they may reasonably have had in executing this my will. Sixth ; And I nominate and appoint my friends John Roos of Preston, aforesaid Merchant and George Roos of the same place Innkeeper, to be the Executors of this my last will and testament…
