    ''Tis hard to part with father, dear,
    No more to see him here;
    But yet we're glad if God saw best,
    To end his troubles and give him rest,
    In heaven to reign with angels fair,
    May our names too be written there."

He fell through the barn floor on the 27th, and at first felt no evil effects from the fall, but soon complained of pain in his head. Growing worse, a physician was called, who pronounced the case fatal, because of a ruptured blood vessel in the head. He became unconscious and the same evening after being speechless for some time, and passed away early next morning. He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Jutzi) Steinman*, two sons and six daughters**, also three brothers and five sisters and many friends, all of whom deeply mourn his death. Buried Dec. 1. *EzraEby.com Corrections This is not true - Barbara predeceased Christian on Feb 23, 1886. Christian then remarried to Anna Brenneman who survived him. Why there is no mention of Anna in the obituary is a mystery. ** Christian had 7 daughters who survived him - from his first wife Barbara Jutzi, daughters Mary and Lydia. From his second wife Anna Brenneman, daughters Catherine, Magdalena, Lavina, Anna and Malinda
