    Business:
An Ontario Superior Court judge has approved the sale of 124-year-old Tiger Brand Knitting Ltd., of Cambridge, Ont., to a numbered company which will close the plant and source its branded clothing in China. The sale of Tiger Brand, which has been in bankruptcy protection since September, 2004, will throw more than 300 people out of work, says the United Steelworkers union. The company, which produces the Non-Fiction and Canadian Classic brands, as well as other clothing under contract, was founded in 1881 by the Warnock family which was in its fifth generation of ownership. The company, whose major creditor is General Motors Acceptance Corp. of Canada Ltd., was sold to a company controlled by New York investor Ken Lazar.
