    The funeral of the late John McK. Anderson was held yesterday from the residence at 292 Palmerston avenue. Mr. Anderson died at the age of 72. He came from Scotland 60 years ago and spent his early activities as a teacher in the Galt schools, afterwards owning the Galt Reformer. After that he joined the staff of the Globe, and later became confidential clerk to Mr. R. J. Fleming, finally entering the Customs branch of the civil service. He is survived by his second wife. There are three daughters, Mrs. Hedley Bindon of Ottawa, and Gertrude and Muriel, living at home. Mr. A. L. Anderson of the civil service, Ottawa, and A. M. Anderson of Guelph are the only surviving brothers.

    PARIS OLD BOY DEAD

    The funeral of the late John McK. Anderson took place yesterday from the family residence, 292 Palmerston avenue, Toronto. Mr. Anderson was born in Inverness, Scotland, 72 years to ago, and, when 12 years of age, came to Canada with his parents. For many years he taught school, being an undergraduate of both Toronto and McGill Universities. For a time he held the position of assistant classical a master at the Galt Grammar School, afterwards owning and publishing The Galt Reformer. Giving up that paper, he went to The Paris Transcript for some time. He then went to The Toronto Globe, and stayed on its staff for several years.

    Mr. Anderson was twice married, his first wife being a daughter of the late. Dr. Charles McGeorge of Ayr. by whom he had one daughter wife of Mr. Hedley Bindon, of Ottawa, and the second wife, who survives him being a daughter of the late James Stokes, of Paris, by whom there are two surviving daughters, Gertrude and Muriel, at home.
