    Jantzi.- Samuel J., son of Jacob B. and Magdalena(Wagler) Jantzi, was born in Wellesley Twp., Ont., Feb. 6, 1916; died at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, Ont., Feb. 17, 1984; aged 68 y. He was married to Edna Gascho, who survives. Also surviving are 2 sons (Wayne and Myron), one daughter (Marilyn-Mrs. Ervin Steinmann), 6 grandchildren, one brother (Aaron), and one sister (Mariam-Mrs. Irvin Nafziger). He was preceded in death by 4 brothers and one sister. Funeral services were held at Crosshill Mennonite Church on Feb. 20, in charge of Steven Gerber and Irvin Erb; interment in Maple View Mennonite Cemetery.

    JANTZI, Edna K. Peacefully, after failing health, at Nithview Community, New Hamburg on Thursday, June 26, 2014, Edna (nee Gascho), formerly of Wellesley, in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Samuel J. Jantzi (1984). Loving mother of Wayne and his wife Joyce of Wellesley, Myron and his wife Joyce of Wellesley, Ervin Steinmann and his wife Irla of Dashwood and the late Marilyn Steinmann (1992). Dear grandmother of Jason Steinmann (Wendi), Jeremy Steinmann (Tina), Holly (Matt Gelinas), Jesse Jantzi (Amanda), Matt Jantzi (Jessica), Jessica Jantzi, Julianne Jantzi and Daniel Jantzi. Dear great-grandmother of seven. Missed by her sister-in-law Miriam Nafziger. Predeceased by her parents Jacob Gascho and Susan (nee Schmidt) and a brother in infancy. Edna was a member of Crosshill Mennonite Church, enjoyed knitting and spending time with family. Friends may call at the FUTHER-FRANKLIN FUNERAL HOME, 1172 Henry Street, Wellesley, on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Wellesley Mennonite Church, 157 David Street, Wellesley, on Monday, June 30, 2014 at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at Maple View Mennonite Cemetery. On Dec.1, 1903, he was married to Magdalena Wagler, who preceded him in death, Aug. 31, 1941. On Nov. 7, 1943, he was married to Fanny Lichty, who died July 22, 1963. Surviving are 4 sons (Simeon, Elias, Aaron, and Samuel), one daughter (Miriam - Mrs. Irvin Nafziger), 23 grandchildren, and 37 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 2 sons (Tobias and Benjamin), one daughter (Leah), 4 sisters, and one brother. He was a member of the Maple View Mennonite Church, where funeral services were held May 16, in charge of Alvin Leis and Stevanus Gerber; interment in adjoining cemetery.
