    CARL (CHARLES) KABELMAN KILLED IN AUTOMOBILE ACCIDENT - The community was shocked to hear of the accident Friday evening in which Carl Kabelman , a Pleasanview farmer lost his life. Mr. Kabelman had recently purchased a new Ford and was driving it into the barn which is 36 feet wide when he lost control of the machine, driving thru the barn ,making a drop of 14 feet , turning upside down, pinning Mr. Kabelman under the car. His skull was crushed and he was otherwise injured. Mr. Kabelman was 74 years and has resided in Emmet County for over 40 years. He leaves to mourn their loss four daughters, Mrs. Sophia Rosemeir, of HarborSprings; Mrs. Louise Juergenmeyer, of Bear Lake, and Mrs. George Gladding , of Wolverine,and Eva Anna Marie Washburn of Pleasantview; and three sons, William, of Pleasantview, Carl (Charles) of Bear Lake, and Albert of Pleasantview, also a brother Christ of Petersburg, Ontario and a brother in Germany, besides several granchildren and many other relatives and friends. The funeral will be held from his home Friday at 2 o'clock and interment in Ayr Cemetery.

    Notes:

    Obituary - Mrs. Charles Kabelman died last Thursday morning at her home near Ayr, Michigan. She was 69 years old and had lived about 35 years on the farm where she died. She leaves seven children and twenty-two grandchildren . The funeral was held Sunday, Rev. Schottkopf of the CheboyganLutheran Church officiating. THe burial was in Ayr Cemetery.

    Thursday morning,aged six-nine yrs. after a short illness. Mrs. Kabelman is an old pioneer of Emmet County coming here in the early days when the country was new, they having lived on their farm there between thirty or forty years. Besides her husband she leaves seven children, three sons and fours daughters and twenty-two grandchildren to mourn her. The funeral was held Sunday morning at ten o'clock, Rev. W. Stoscob, of the German Lutheran Church, of Cheboygan, officiating , and interment took place in the Ayr Cemetery.
