    Peacefully, at this residence, on Saturday, Feb 1, 1997, Clarence Kuepfer, of RR 1, Elmwood.

    Clarence was born in Elma township 61 years ago, a son of Clara (Steckly) of RR 1, Elmwood and the late Solomon H. Kuepfer (1993). He was formerly of RR 1, Newton and was a bishop in the Old Order Amish Faith.

    Beloved husband of Sarah (Kuepfer) whom he married October 16, 1958. Loving father of Elizabeth and her husband Alvin Albrecht of RR 1, Milverton, Andy and his wife Edna, Clara and John, all of RR 1, Elmwood. Also remembered by seven grandchildren. He will be remembered by his brothers and sisters, Matilda and Reuben Albrecht of RR 1, Millbank, Peter and Lydia Kuepfer of RR 4, Harriston, Mabel and Delmar Albrecht of RR 1, Newton, Ivan and Dorothy Kuepfer of RR 1, Chesley, Philip and Tena Kuepfer of RR 1, Desboro, Phoebe and Aaron Kuepfer of RR 2, Milverton. Clarence was predeceased by two sons, Joseph and Jacob and a grandson, Marlin.

    Friends and relatives may call at his daughter's residence, Elizabeth and Alvin Albrecht, RR 1, Milverton until Tuesday morning at 8:30 a.m., when transfer will be made to his home at RR 1, Elmwood, for visitation from 1-9p.m. Wednesday morning transfer will be made to Peter Kuepfer's residence, RR 4, Harriston (2.5 miles north of Harriston on Hwy 9) for the service at 9:30 a.m., with Bishop Levi Streicher officiating. Burial to follow in Lakelet cemetery, Howick township.

    On Saturday, Sept. 11, 1993, at Stratford General Hospital, Solomon H. Kuepfer, of RR 2, Milverton.

    He was born in Wellesley Township, 77 years ago, a son of the late Peter S. and Veronica (Herrfort) Kuepfer. Solomon was a member of the old Order Amish Mennonite Faith.

    Beloved husband of Clara Steckly whom he married February 28, 1935. Loving father of Clarence and his wife Sarah of RR 1, Newton, Matilda and her husband Rueben Albrecht of RR 1, Millbank, Peter and his wife Lydia of RR 2, Milverton, Mabel and her husband Delmar Albrecht of RR 1, Newton, Ivan and his wife Dorothy of RR 1, Chesley, Philip and his wife Tena of RR 1, Desboro, Phoebe and her husband Aaron Kuepfer of RR 2, Milverton. Sadly missed by 66 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and one sister, Esther and her husband Michael Streicher of RR 1, Newton.

    Solomon was predeceased by seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild, four brothers, Simon, John, Daniel and Amos and two sisters, Lydia (Mrs. Joe Jantzi) and Annie (Mrs. Gideon Streicher).

    Friends and relatives may call at the family residence, Lot 36, Conc. 14, Elma township, RR 2, Milverton until Tuesday, where the funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m., with Bishop Levi Streicher officiating. Burial to follow in the 7th Line Amish Mennonite Cemetery, Mornington township.

    KUEPFER, Peter S.

    Peter S. Kuepfer of R.R. 1 Millbank died Thursday, Mar. 30 at St. Mary's Hospital in Kitchener. He was born in Mornington Township, in 1890, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Kuepfer and farmed on the fifth line of Wellesley Township, retiring in 1965.

    He was predeceased by his wife, the former Veronica Herrford in 1965. Surviving are three sons, Solomon of R.R. 2 Milverton, Daniel and Amos both of R.R. 1 Millbank, three daughters, Mrs. Joseph N. (Lydia) Jantzi of Millbank, Mrs. Gideon (Annie) Streicher of R.R. 1 Milverton and Mrs. Michael (Esther) Streicher of R.R. 1 Newton; four brothers, David and Samuel, both of Millbank, Solomon, R.R. 1 Milverton and John of R.R. 1 Newton; two sisters, Mrs. Christ (Nancy) Kuepfer of Millbank and Mrs. John (Leah) Zehr of R.R. 1 Newton; 50 grandchildren and 86 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by two sons, three sisters, two brothers, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

    The body is at his home, fifth line of Wellesley Township, where the funeral service took place on Monday at 1 p.m. Burial followed in the seventh line Amish Mennonite cemetery in Wellesley township.

    Peter Steckley, 78, died Wednes day, March 16 at his home in Newton where he had lived for nine months. Born in Elma Township, October 27, 1881, he was married to the former Kathleen Kuepfer, who predeceased him. They had 3 daughters, Mrs. Daniel (Marie) Schmidt, Mrs. Jonathan (Druscilla) W. Kuepfer, both of R.R. 1, Newton, and Mrs. Solomon (Clara) Kuepfer of Elma township. Two sons died in infancy. On June 27, 1957 he married Katie Yantzi, who pre-deceased him. In June of 1959, he married Lena Streicher who survives along with two stepsons, Menno and Rudy. Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. Christian Jantzi of Ellice township, 16 grandchildren and five- great grandchildren. The funeral was held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Schmidt, R.R. 1, Newton, on Highway 19. Burial was in the 7th line Amish Mennonite cemetery, Mornington township
