After his marriage he was engaged in farming until 1892 when he entered the ministry of the Mennonite Brethren in Christ body and at present he is stationed on the Markham field of labor. He proved to be successful in the ministry on the Maryborough field of labor which he left in May, 1894, and moved on his present circuit. His family consists of two children, namely: Harold and Russell."

    Died In Kitchener, on Saturday, August 30 1947 Henry S. Wismer In his 85th year. The Funeral Will take place from the Harold Gray Funeral Home, Galt, on Wednesday, September 3rd, at 2.00 p.m., to the New Dundee Cemetery. Friends and acquaintances will please accept this intimation.

    BRANCHTON, Sept. 2. - Henry Wismer, who retired from his farm west of Ayr seven years ago to move here, died Saturday at his home. He was 84

    An ordained minister of the Mennonite Brethren in Christ Church, Mr. Wismer retired from the ministry to take up farming west of Ayr 17 years ago. He was a member of the Stirling Ave., Mennonite Church, Kitchener.

    Born in Perth County, Mr. Wismer was predeceased by his wife, Lucienda (Miller) Wismer by nine years. He is survived by one daughter, Miss Alice Wismer, Cobourg; one son, W. Guy Wismer, Branchton, and one brother, David S. Wismer, Kitchener,

    Memorial service will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday from the chap- el of the Harold Gray Funeral Home, Galt. Interment will be in the New Dundee Cemetery.

    MRS. J. C. WISMER DIED TODAY

    A large circle of friends learned with regret today of the death this morning of Nancy Snyder, wife of John C. Wismer, in her 91st year at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Noah Shiry. Mrs. Wismer had lived with her daughter following Mrs. Shiry's bereavement last August, and Mrs. Shiry told the Reporter this morning that her mother had filled for her many a lonely hour, and would be sadly missed. The funeral will be held on Saturday afternoon, the service to be at the late residence at 2.30 p.m. and interment at Blair. Those who survive are Mrs. Wismer's husband, now in his 93rd year, the following sons and daughters: Benjamin, Gimsby; John, Waterloo; David, Kitchener; Henry, Ayr; Isaiah Strassburgh; Mrs. John Nasmith, Blair, and Mrs. Nancy Shiry, Laurel street, Preston; one brother, Benjamin Snyder, Roseville and one sister, Mrs. Kipp, Woodstock, 15 grandchildren and 28 great grand- children.

    Mrs. Wismer was the daughter of Benjamin Synder of Roseville whose wife was Elizabeth Detweiler, also of Roseville. She married John C. Wismer September 14, 1856 and the happy couple had celebrated the 70th anniversary of their wedding last.

    WISMER-Died on the morning of Thursday, June 30th, 1927 at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Nancy Shiry, 768 Laurel street, Nancy Snyder, beloved wife of John C. Wismer in her 91st year. The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon, service at 2.30 p.m. at the late residence, interment at Blair.

    Benjamin Schneider, "was born July 4th, 1808. On February 22nd, 1831, he was married to Eliza Detweiler (No 2288) who was born October 2nd, 1811, and died September 7th, 1840. On September 26th, 1843, he was again married to Esther, daughter of Abraham and Barbara (Shuh) Miller. She was born October 23rd, 1814, and died September 9th, 1855. He resided a little west of Roseville, Ontario, where he was the owner of one of the finest tracts of land in Ontario. Here he was engaged in farming for many years, but when well advanced in years he retired from farming and had his home with his children. He died at Roseville, May 25th, 1892. His family consisted of eleven children, of whom the eldest six were born unto his first wife."
