    ANTONISON, William (Turk) - Peacefully, on Friday, May 8, 2009, at Lisaard House, surrounded by his loving family, in his 90th year. Beloved husband of Rose (nee Balahura) of 59 years and loving father of David Antonison of Cambridge. Survived by one sister, Anne Krywy of Cambridge. Predeceased by his parents, Michael and Catherine Antonyscyn, and sisters, Mary Kolopack, Rose Mannone, Hilda Antonison, Stella Martyn and brother, Nicholas Antonison. Longtime employee of Preston Furniture of 45 years. Veteran of the Second World War, RCA - L/BDR 7th Medium Regiment. Served overseas throughout Europe from 1941 - 1945 and 65-year member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 126 (Preston). At Turk's request, cremation has taken place with no visitation or service. A special thank you to all the staff at Lisaard House for their care and compassion. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Lisaard House, 950 Speedsville Rd., Cambridge, N3H 4R6 would be appreciated by the family.     Michael Antonison

    PRESTON, March 6 - Well-known Preston resident for the past 40 years, Michael Antonison, 68, died suddenly following a heart attack at his home, 30 Nelson St., Preston, on Saturday. Born in Austria the deceased came to Preston, 40 years ago. During his early residence in Preston he worked for local contractors, then for a time at the former Car and Coach, and for the past 35 years had been a coremaker at Clare Bros., moulding shop. A member of St. Clement's R.C. Church, Mr. Antonison was a member of the Ukrainian Relief Association, in which he was former secretary-treasurer and also a member of the Moulder's Union. Surviving is his wife; five daughters, Mrs. Michael (Mary) Kolapack, Preston; Mrs. William (Rose) Mannone, Toronto; Misses Anne, Stella and Hilda Antonison at home; two sons, Nicholas of Preston and William at home; two sisters, Mrs. Michael Klopick, Winnipeg and Mrs. Demetro Brecko, of Guelph. Four grandchildren also survive. The body is resting at the residence, 30 Nelson St. The funeral will take place tomorrow with requiem high mass at St. Clement's R.C. Church at 9 a.m. Interment will be in the R.C. Cemetery.

    Mrs. Michael Antonison

    PRESTON—Mrs. Michael Antonison, 74, of 30 Nelson St. Preston, died at her home yesterday. Born in Austria, Mrs. Antonison came to Preston 48 years ago. She was a member of St. Clement's RC Church, the Altar Society and the Catholic Women's League. Predeceased by her husband 10 years ago, Mrs. Antonison is servived by two sons, Nicholas and William, both of Preston, five daughters, Mrs. Michael (Mary) Kolopack, Mrs. Steven (Anne) Krywy, Mrs. Steven (Stella) Martin, all of Preston; Mrs. William (Rose) Mannone, Toronto, and Hilda at home; two sisters in Austria and nine grandchildren. The body will be at the Maurice O'Brien Funeral Home here until Friday. Requiem high, mass will be conducted at St. Clement's Church Friday at 9: 30 a.m., with Rev. F. J. Morgan officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The rosary will be recited Thursday at 3 p.m. at the funeral home by the Catholic Women's League and the Altar Society.
