    Notes:

    BIEHN, SIDNEY BLANCHARD was born in Bright, and graduated from the University of Toronto in 1895. After six years at Elmwood, he moved to Berlin.

    News-Record May 15, 1902. Dr. S. B. Biehn, formerly of Elmwood, has opened an office in Berlin at 79 Frederick St. opposite Ahrens St. He pays especial attention to diseases of the ear nose and throat, and to rupture. He has had a considerable number of years experience and has taken special Polyclinic and Postgraduate hospital courses.

    The Berliner Journal of May 16, 1906 notes that he had bought a practice in Parry Sound and was moving there.

    For forty years he practised in Parry Sound, being Medical Officer of Health and chief coroner for that District. He took an active part in political campaigns for the Liberal party.

    He retired in 1946, and died in Mimico on January 16, 1950, aged 78, survived by his widow, three sons and one daughter.

    "(Toronto) Dr. Sidney B. Biehn, 78, medical practitioner in Parry Sound for 40 years, died at his home in suburban Mimico yesterday.

    Born in Bright, Ont. he graduated from the Univ. of Toronto in 1895 and practised for 6 years in Eldwood and for four years in Kitchener. For some years he was chief coroner and medical health officer for Owen Sound."

    Native of Bright Dies at Mimico

    TORONTO (P) - Dr. Sidney Blanchard Biehn, 78, former medical officer of health and chief coroner at Parry Sound, Ont., died Monday at his home in suburban Mimico. N Dr. Biehn was graduated from the University of Toronto in 1895, he practised in Parry Sound for 40 years. In 1935, he wrote medical examinations that qualified him to practice in Connecticut. Although he never did work there, fellow doctors congratulated him on passing the rigorous tests so long after leaving university. Born at Bright, Ont., Dr. Biehn practised in Elmwood and Kitchener before moving to Parry Sound
