    Flight Sergeant / Air Gunner.

    Peter was a crew member on Liberator aircraft #HK 316 bombing Japanese troop concentrations at Alugale, Burma when the aircraft burst into flames. It then hit a hill and disintegrated west of the village of Laungchaung, Maya Peninsula, Burma.

    Mrs. Nicholas Humeniski

    PRESTON - Serious illness of a week's duration culminated in the death at the Kitchener-Waterloo Hospital early today of Mary Olshenetsky, wife of Nicholas Humeniski, 405 Middle St., Preston, at the age of 63. Mrs. Humeniski, well-known resident of Preston for 40 years, had been in ill health for the past year and a half but only seriously ill for a week, being removed to hospital Sunday morning. Born in the Ukraine, she was married in that country and came to Preston in 1912. She was a member of St. Mary's Ukrainian Church and of the Women's Auxiliary of the church. Surviving are her husband, five [rest of obituary was not photocopied].
