WALSH, Bernard Thomas (Mike) - Passed away, peacefully, on Tuesday, January 1, 2008, at St. Mary's General Hospital at the age of 87. Beloved husband of Adeline (nee Fitzgerald) Walsh for 58 years. Loving father of Michael (Barb) of Kitchener and Steve (Mary) of Baden and the late Joan Hug (1974) and Susan Walsh (2001). Papa to Matthew Hug, Sean, Kellie, Alyssa and Michelle Walsh. Great-grandfather to Kristen Hug. Mike was the last surviving member of his family. He was a veteran of the Second World War serving overseas with the R.C.A. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 1504, Kitchener. He retired from Uniroyal in 1984 and enjoyed photography and poetry. Mike's family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday from 10-10: 45 a.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Memorial service 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2008 in the chapel of the funeral home followed by a reception. Cremation has taken place. Fr. Brian Quigley of St. Joseph's R.C. Church officiating. As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Joseph's R.C. Church or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
