    Notes:

JOHN C. FRIEDMANN 1920 - 2006 Passed away peacefully, in the arms of his loving family, on Wednesday, August 2, 2006. He lived a long and full life, being supportive to his family at all times and faithful to his church and community. He was one of the good ones, a gentleman, the best husband, the greatest dad and the best oldest brother. He always deferred to taking care of others before himself. He was retired 20 years after a 35 year teaching career with WCDSB. Many of his students would meet him later in their lives and remark about a particular quality that he inspired in them. Prior to his teaching career, he served in the RCAF in the Second World War. He liked to express himself through his weaving, quilting and stained glass. He particularly enjoyed cultivating orchids, playing cards and puzzles and teasing the grandchildren. Beloved husband of Theresa (Traynor). Loving father of Terry (Jan) of Waterloo, John (Liz) of Port Hope, Peter (Raymonde) of Kitchener, JoAnne of Kitchener, Philip (Marilyn) of Toronto, Chris (Tara) of Kitchener and cherished grandfather of Michael, Karyn, Daniel, Christine, Dylan, Alex, Jordan, Raina, Christian and Jewel, and great-grandfather of Kierstan and Michael. Loving brother of Wally (deceased), Donny (deceased), Mary, Philip (deceased), Frank, Anne (deceased) and Eddy. The family would like to thank Dr. Bain and Dr. Wilhelm, and the medical staff at Grand River (K-W) Hospital (8th floor). Friends are invited to share their memories of Jack with his family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Friday, August 4 (today) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with Parish Prayers at 7: 30 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Jack's life will be held at St. Michael's RC Church, 240 Hemlock St. at University Ave., Waterloo, on Saturday, August 5, 2006 at 11 a.m. with Rev.
