MOHR, Orval Gordon

Suddenly, on Tuesday, Dec. 3, 1991, at his home, RR 2, Baden. Orval was born in North Easthope township 59 years ago, a son of the late Wilfrid Mohr and the late Gladys Daub. Mr. Mohr was a faithful member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Philipsburg. He was a tractor mechanic with Lantz Farm Equipment for 28 years and also with Gingrich's of Baden for five years. For the past eight years he was a custodian with the Waterloo Oxford District secondary school. Beloved husband of Jane (Doering) Mohr of RR 2, Baden, whom he married September 12, 1953. Loving father of Wilfrid and his wife Carole of New Hamburg, Arnold and his wife Hilda of Kitchener, Leonard and his wife Wendy of New Hamburg, Thomas Mohr of RR 2, Baden and Julie Anne Mohr of RR 2, Baden; dear brother of Arden and his wife Isabel Mohr of Stratford, Kenneth and his wife Marjorie Mohr of RR I, New Hamburg and Arnetta and her husband Gordon Seebach of New Hamburg Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren. Adam, Jeremy, Sarah, Rebecca, Justin, Stephanie and Joshua. Lovingly remembered by his mother-in-law, Mrs. Alma Doering of Wellesley. Visitation at the Futher Bros. Funeral Home, 40 Henry St., Wellesley, where the family will receive friends this evening (Thursday) from 7-9 p.m. and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. At noon Saturday, Dec. 7, removal will be made to Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Philipsburg, for the service at 2 p m Rev. Ernie Skujins and intern Peter Lurbey will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Sarah Daub - By Record Correspondent - New Hamburg - Mrs. Sarah C. Daub, 84, died yesterday at the home of her son, Gordon Daub, RR 3, New Hamburg. Widow of Martin Daub, she was born in North Easthope township, a daughter of the late Andrew Falk and Jane Capling. She was a member of Oetzels Evangelical United Brethren Church and the WMS. Surviving are one son, Gordon; three daughters, Mrs. Melvin (Pearletta) Pfaff, Lisbon; Mrs. Wilfred (Gladys) Mohr, North Easthope and Mrs. William (Myrtle) Burrell, Toronto; two brothers, J. E. Falk and A.E. Falk, of Saskatoon, Sask.; a sister, Mrs. Lydia Schlotzhauer, Glendale, Calif.; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The body will rest at the residence where a short service will be conducted Friday at 2 pm, followed by a memorial service at Oetzels Church at 2: 30. Interment will be made in the church cemetery. Rev. T. Lesch, will officiate.

Died - The death occurred at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Sarah Daub, in North Easthope, on Wednesday of Mrs. Andrew Falk, at the age of 74 years, 5 months and 10 days. The deceased had been ailing for some time and her death was not unexpected. The late Mrs. Falk was born in North Easthope, being a daughter of the late John Capling and spent all her life in that township. About fifty years ago she was married to Mr. Andrew Falk, who predeceased her five years ago. She was a kind and loving mother and good neighbor and highly esteemed by all who knew her. There remain to mourn her loss a family of three sons and four daughters: George of North Easthope, Edward and Ezra of Dinsmore, Sask., Mrs. Ed. Schlotzhauer of Stratford, Mrs. Domm of Ayton and Mrs. Samuel Schlotzhauer of Stratford. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren. The funeral will be held on Sunday afternoon at 1.30 o'clock from her late residence to Oetzel's Evangelical church and cemetery.
