    Reinhold Miller

    Following a lengthy illness, Reinhold Miller, local painter, passed away early Sunday morning at his home. 29 Gildner Avenue in his 48th year. Deceased, who was born in this city, had been ill with pneumonia. He was a member of the IOOF, and attended St. Peter's Lutheran Church

    Surviving are his wife, two daughters, misses. Alice and Reta, and one son, Harold all at home. Two brothers, Herman and John Miller, city and three sisters Mrs. Fred Leiskau,, Baden, and Mrs Ed Smith and Mrs. L. Miglarial,, both of Kitchener also survived.

    The funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon from his residence at 2 o'clock under the auspices of the IOOF. Remains will be interred in Mount Hope Cemetery Dr. H. A. Sperling will officiate.

    MRS. REINHOLD MILLER - A sad death occurred at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Underwood, when their eldest daughter Sylvia passed away on Thursday morning, following an operation at the K-W Hospital. She was born in Bridgeport and had resided in Kitchener about twenty years. Ten years ago she was married to Mr. Reinhold Miller and up to the time of her demise had lived on Green Street. She had been unwell for several months and underwent an operation a few weeks ago. She was in her thirty-first year and besides her husband and three small children, she leaves to mourn her loss her parents, one sister, Mrs. E. G. Sahli, Kitchener, and six brothers, Obal of Sandwich, Harry, Elmira, Ira, Milo, Oscar and Lloyd, Kitchener. Deceased was a member of Grace Congregational Church. The funeral will be held on Sunday afternoon at 2: 30 o'clock from her parents residence, 65 Glasgow street, to Mount Hope cemetery.

    The- death occurred this morning of John Miller, aged 77 years at his home 61 Glasgow street. The deceased lived in Kitchener for 46 years having come here from Germany where he was born. He was a staunch member of St. Peter's Lutheran church church attended the services regularly up to the time he was forced to remain at home through illness. He Is survived by the widow, three daughters. Mrs. F. Leiskau, Baden, Mrs. Ed: Smith, and Mrs. L. Meglarini of Kitchener and three sons Herman of Waterloo, John and Reinhold of Kitchener.

    John Thomas Underwood

    The death occurred at St. Mary's Hospital at five o'clock last night of Mr. John Thomas Underwood, aged 69 years, three months, and 10 days. The deceased has been in failing health for the last two or three months. In religion the deceased was a member of Calvary Evangelical church. He was born in Wellesley Township on November 2nd, 1863. He was predeceased by his wife some seven years ago.

    The late Mr. Underwood is survived by six sons, Obal of Windsor, Ira of Kitchener, Oscar of Kitchener, Harry of Waterloo, Milo, Kitchener and Lloyd of Toronto, and by one daughter, Mrs. Edwin G. Sahli, city. Two brothers, Edward Underwood and William Underwood, both of Bridgeport, and one sister, Mrs. I. Thomas, Kitchener survive.

    The funeral will be held with a private service on Sunday afternoon at 2: 30 o'clock from the home of his daughter, Mrs. Sahli, 65 Glasgow Street, to Calvary Evangelical Church where a public service will be held at three o'clock. Interment will be made in Woodland Cemetery. The remains will be at the Kitchener Furniture Company Funeral Home until Saturday noon after which removal will take place to the home of Mrs. Sahli, 65 Glasgow Street.

    Underwood, formerly Leovina Saltzberry, passed away at her home 65 Glasgow street Sunday morning. Deceased was born at New Dundee, Nov. 7, 1855 and was in her 69th year. She is survived by her husband, one daughter, Ina (Mrs. Sahli) at home, and six sons, Obal of Sandwich, Ira, Oscar, Milo and Lloyd all of this city, and Harry of Waterloo. There are also 24 grandchildren and two great grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. W. P. Ellis of this city and Mrs. George Miller of Haysville. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock from the residence to Calvary Memorial church. Burial will take place in Woodland cemetery (sic).

    Death of Mr. Jacob Saltzberry - One of the old pioneers has passed away in the person of Mr. Jacob Saltzberry. He had made his home for the last 3 years with his daughter, Esther (Mrs. Miller), Haysville. For the last ten weeks he had been ailing with dropsy and on Sunday, Aug. 20th, about 10 o'clock a.m. passed quietly away in his 87th year. He leaves to mourn his loss, 3 daughters, Lovina, Mrs. J. T. Underwood; Esther, Mrs. Geo. A. Miller, Haysville and Mary, Mrs. H. P. Ellis, Berlin. One son and two daughters died several years ago, Moses, Veronica, Mrs. A. Hilborn and Katherine, Mrs. Geo. Miller. His wife predeceased him about 9 years. the funeral will be held from Mrs. Miller's residence in Haysville to Blenheim cemetery. Service at the house at 1.30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 22nd.
