KELLER, Gunter Alfred H. - Born July 17, 1920 in Finowfurt, Germany and died peacefully on Saturday, August 30, 2008 at St. Mary's Hospital in Kitchener after a brief illness, surrounded by family. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 61 years, Justina Keller and his four children, Raymond (Effie), Carmen (Allan) Habermehl, Ralph (Carol) and Walter. He will be forever remembered and sadly missed by his nine grandchildren, Rachel, Scott, Chad, Amanda, Brian, Shawna, Sheila, Elisa, Susan and five great-grandchildren. Gunter loved life; strong, caring, positive, generous; and always a fighter, never one to complain. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He loved to fish, and spent every moment he could enjoying his hobby. He enjoyed flying and flew airplanes and gliders, being recognized at the age of 80 as the oldest glider pilot in Canada. We will miss you dad, you were our rock, the man who would never give in and instilled the same strength in us. Your pain has ended and we pray that you are at peace and once again fishing with Gerry on the banks of the Saugeen River. There will be a private family service. Cremation has taken place. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Salvation Army, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the T. Little Funeral Home , Cambridge. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.
