    Notes:

KOCHEM, Ilene 1923-2010 Ilene (Eileen) Kochem is in heaven. Peace and Joy are hers, Alleluia! She left this life as she was held in the arms of her favourite (no secret there) granddaughter, Kelley. Born in Baden, Ontario, January 2, 1923 Eileen was the daughter of Edna Iutzi and Christian Herner. Eileen was predeceased by her parents as well as siblings Geraldine Roth, Harley Herner and his wife Ruth, and brother-in-law John Boldt. Eileen's husband Frank (Clancy) passed away in 1992 and their infant daughter died in her second month of life in 1942. Left to mourn are a sister Helen Boldt and brother-in-law Joe Roth. Eileen leaves one daughter Gwen Schedewitz and her husband Earl to mourn her loss and celebrate the gift of a mother. First grandchildren Deb Carlson (nee Chappell), Mike Chappell (Ginger), Kelley Schedewitz (Jodi) will sadly miss their Gammy as well "acquired" grandchildren Sandra (Jack) Janzen and Jim Schedewitz. Great-grand- children: Katie, Sarah, Brad, Jacob, Zak, Jess, Paige, Alex and Nolan each in their own special way will also miss Gammy. Katie as a newborn and for 2 years more spent many happy hours toddling around on spur of the moment excursions with Gammy. Katie like her Aunt Kelley somehow got "the special deal" when it came to time with Gammy. From the marriages of her siblings, Eileen was blessed with many nieces and nephews whom she cherished. The Memorial Service to celebrate Eileen's life and faith will take place on Saturday, December 11, 2010 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of St. John's Lutheran Church, 22 Willow St., Waterloo. Rev. Dr. Don Nevile officiating. Cremation has taken place with a private family interment. Condolences for the family and donations to Autism Dog Services or Canadian Lutheran World Relief may be arranged through the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home 171 King St. S., Waterloo www.erbgood.com or 519-745-8445. Special thank you to Dr. Rainham and all the caring staff at Pinehaven Nursing Home for their compassion and loving care they have shown Eileen over the years.
