    SNYDER, Mary Margaret (nee Brohman) Peacefully at the Anson Place Care Centre on Monday, April 11, 2011, Margaret Snyder, in her 85th year. Beloved wife of the late Gerald Snyder for 62 years. Dear mother of Brian (Eileen), Linda, Barry (Barb), Kim (Wilma), Paul (Nancy) and Michele (Pete). Dearly loved Grandma/Nana to Mark (Kristin), Jill (Shaun), Sarah, Caitlin, Jodi (Paul), Krista (Andrew), Landon, Charity-Rae, Cody, Ryan, Ashley, Hannah, Zachary and Zane. Loved Great- Grandma/Great-Nana to Maggie, Jacob, Braden and Tyler. Marg is survived by her sisters Jeanette Anderson (Garth), Florence Hales (Playford), sisters-in-law Marion Giles (Harvey) and Joan Brohman and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters Helen Steffler, Bertha Noonan, Frances Clements, Catherine Brohman and brothers George, Andy and James Brohman. She was also predeceased by brothers-in-law Claude and Robert Snyder and sisters-in-law Selda Shantz and Joyce Gregory and is survived by her sister-in-law Joyce Snyder. Marg was a lifelong member of the Catholic Women's League. Visitation for Marg will be held at the Hyde & Mott Funeral Chapel , 60 Main Street South, Hagersville on Friday, April 15th from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 with Prayers at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's Church on Saturday, April 16th at 11:00 a.m. with interment at St. Anne's Cemetery. If so desired, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.     Joseph Edward Brohman, 65, of 18 Mill St., Elmira, died suddenly at his residence Jan. 25.

    Son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ambrose Brohman, he was born at West Montrose and farmed in that district until his retirement in 1963 when he moved to Elmira.

    He was a member of St. Theresa's RC Church, Elmira, and the Holy Name Society.
    He is survived by his wife, the former Dora Lehman whom he married Jan. 21, 1924, at Maryhill; three sons, George and Andrew, RR 1, West Montrose, and James of Brantford; six daughters, Mrs. Pete (Helen) Steffler, Guelph, Mrs. Gerald (Margaret) Snyder, Hagersville, Mrs. Cecil (Bertha) Noonan, Paris, Ont., Mrs. Garth (Jeanette) Anderson and Frances, both of Elmira, Mrs. Playford (Florence) Hales, Alma; three brothers, Mike of Detroit, Mich., James of Fergus and John of Jarvis; one sister, Mrs. Clarence (Eileen) Greib, Detroit, Mich.; and 31 grandchildren.
    A daughter and two sisters predeceased him.

    The body was at the Dreisinger Funeral Parlor. Prayers were said Jan. 29 at 9:15 a.m. Rev. A.J. Haes officiated at mass at St. Boniface RC Church, Maryhill, at 10 a.m.
    Mass was said Jan. 26 at St. Theresa's RC Church. Rosary was Jan. 28 at the funeral parlor.

    Brohman, Mrs. Dora

    On Monday, October 4, 1976 at St. Mary's Hospital, Dora Helen Lehman, widow of Joseph Brohman, in her 71st year. Mother of Mrs. Jerry (Margaret) Snyder of Hagersville, Mrs. Cecil (Bertha) Noonan of Paris, Mrs. Garth (Jeanette) Anderson and Frances, both of Elmira, Mrs. Playford (Florence) Hales of Elmira, George and Andrew, both of Route 1, West Montrose; sister of Mary Edwards of Ohio; predeceased by two daughters, Helen and Catherine, one son, James; and a brother Frank. Friends called at the Dreisinger Funeral Parlor until Thursday morning for prayers at the funeral parlor at 9: 30 a.m. Removal was made to St. Theresa's RC Church, Elmira, for requiem mass at 10 a.m. Interment in St. Boniface RC cemetery, Maryhill. Survived by 34 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

    ANTHONY WEILER

    At the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Madgalena Elchert, 379 Breithaupt street, death claimed Mr. Anthony Weller in his 93rd year, this morning. The deceased was born in New Germany and lived there all his life. He was in his usual health until two weeks ago, when he suffered an attack of pleurisy. He is survived by his wife, four sons, John of Toronto, Andrew of New Germany, Stephen and Anthony of Detroit, by four daughters Mrs. Jacob Magnus, New Germany. Mrs. Catherine Gonter, Detroit, Mrs. Samuel Fagel, Guelph and Mrs. Magdalena Elchert of this city and by one brother, Conrad of Trout Creek, Muskoka, and one sister, Mrs. Abalona Schlosser of Formosa. Also surviving are 57 grand- children and 42 great grandchildren. The funeral will take place from the residence of Mrs. Elchert on Saturday morning, for services in St. Boniface church, New Germany, at 10 o'clock. Interment will be made in New Germany.
