    Brenneman.- Rudolph, died at the K-W Hospital, Kitchener, Ont., June 14, 1977; aged 74 y. He was married to Susanne Jutzi, who survives. Also surviving are 2 children (Donald and Grace-Mrs. Roy Gascho), 5 grandchildren, and 2 sisters (Emma-Mrs. Emanuel Zehr and Annie-Mrs. Chris Ruby). He was preceded in death by one brother (Elmer) and one sister (Susie). He was a member of First Mennonite Church, where funeral services were held on June 17, in charge of Stanley Sauder; interment in First Mennonite Cemetery.

    Brenneman, Susanne Iutzi, daughter of Christian and Mattie (Bender), was born in Tavistock, Ont., Feb 11, 1905; died at Heritage House, St. Jacobs, Ont., Sept. 17, 1988; aged 83 y. She was married to Rudy Brenneman, who died in 1977. Surviving are one daughter (Grace Gascho), one son (Donald), 5 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 4 sisters (Melinda Roth, Mabel Ruby, Rose Piat, and Erma Sommers), and one brother (Sidney Iutzi). She was preceded in death by one sister (Viola) and one brother (Nelson Iutzi). She was a member of First Mennonite Church, where funeral services were held on Sept. 19, in charge of Glenn Brubacher; interment in First Mennonite Cemetery.

    Brenneman - Henry, son of Peter and Catherine (Kuepfer) Brenneman, was born in Waterloo Co., Ont., March 11, 1868; died at his late home in Tavistock, Ont., April 26, 1938; aged 80 y. 1 m. 11 d. His father died when he was four years old, and his mother, as wife of Nicholas Roth, moved to Henry Co., Ia., in 1876, where he went to public school and Sunday school. At the age of 14 years he returned with his widowed mother to St. Agatha, Ont. In his youth he accepted Christ as his Saviour and was received into church fellowship of the East Zorra A.M. congregation by water baptism upon confession of faith, and was a faithful member of this congregation until his death. On March 5, 1889, he was united in matrimony to Sister Catherine Oesch of Huron Co., Ont. This union was blest with 7 children of whom two preceded him in infancy, and 1 son (Elmer) died in 1935. The mother passed away in 1907. On Sept. 24, 1908, he was joined in matrimony to Sister Magdalene Bender of East Zorra, Ont. This union was blest with 1 daughter, who passed away in infancy. He leaves his loving companion, 1 son (Rudolph of Tavistock, Ont.), and 3 daughters (Susanna, wife of Joseph Zehr; Emma, wife of Emmanuel Zehr; Annie, wife of Chris Ruby, all of East Zorra), 22 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. He was the last member of the Peter Brenneman family of 9 children, all of whom passed away in youth and infancy. There also survive 2 stepsisters (Catherine, wife of Martin Eicher, Milford, Neb.; Mary, wife of Dan Troyer, Shickley, Neb.); 1 stepbrother (Ben Roth, of New Hamburg, Ont.). Bro. Brenneman was an active Christian worker. As Sunday school superintendent he served the East Zorra A.M. congregation for nearly thirty years, taking an active part in all services, and also in young people's meeting, where he seldom failed to be present. He also took an active part in using his influence in bringing about the opening of a new place of worship for this congregation at the 17th line, where he attended from the beginning in 1935, as long as health permitted. Funeral services April 29 at the home were conducted by Bro. Jacob R. Bender, and the East Zorra A.M. Church by Bros. Menno Kipfer and Dan S. Iutzi, where a large concourse of friends gathered to pay their last tribute to the departed one. Interment in adjoining cemetery.

    Iutzi, Magdalena, daughter of John H. and Barbara Bender, passed away at the K and W. Hospital, Kitchener, Ont., July 24, 1962, in her 83rd year. On Feb. 3, 1903, she was married to Christian R. Iutzi, who died July 6, 1959.     Bender.-John H., eldest son of Christian and Catherine (Honderich) Bender, was born in Waterloo Co., Ont., Aug. 5, 1849; died April 27, 1934; aged 84 y. 8 m. 22 d. He was a member of the A. M. Church from his youth. In January, 1872, he was married to Barbara Brenneman of Perth Co., Ont. This union was blessed with 3 children (Jacob B. Bender and Lydia at home, and Mattie-wife of Christ R. Iutzi), all of East Zorra. His wife preceded him in death more than two years. He leaves 1 son, 2 daughters, 17 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 3 brothers, and 4 sisters. After his marriage in 1872, he had his home on the 16 line of East Zorra Township, and in all these years he never missed being home a night, except two years ago when he made a trip to Clarence Center, N. Y., for a few days. Services were held at the home by Jacob R. Bender, and at the church by D. D. Lebold, Chris Schultz, and D. S. Jutzi. A large host of friends gathered to pay the last respects to the departed. Burial on May 1 at East Zorra A. M. Church.

    Mrs. John H. Bender

    There passed away at the family residence in East Zorra township on Wednesday, August 12th, Barbara Brenneman, wife of John H. Bender, in her 82nd year. She had suffered from cancer trouble during the past year. Deceased was born in South Easthope where she lived with her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Brenneman, until her marriage to Mr. Bender in 1872.

    She leaves besides her husband, one son, Jacob B., of East Zorra, and two daughters, Lydia at home, Mrs. Chris. Jutzi, of East Zorra, and three brothers, Joseph, David and Christian. Three sisters predeceased her. The funeral held on Friday afternoon was conducted by Rev. Mr. Kipfer. The services at the church was in charge of Bishop Daniel Jutzi, Rev. Steinman and Rev. Bender. Interment was made in the Amish-Mennonite Cemetery, 16th line.

    The pallbearers were Ezra Roth, Ivan Bender, Peter Brenneman, Norman Roi, William Brenneman and Simon Roth.
