    Death of Mrs. Arthur White

Died, in Ayr, on Thursday, Oct. 28th, 1920, at 12: 20 a.m., Sarah Eleanor, beloved wife of Arthur White, in her 52nd year. The deceased had been in her usual state of health and going about her duties up to within a couple of hours of her demise and the sudden call came as a surprise, the immediate cause being acute indigestion. Mrs. White was born at Hutton, Essex, England, and was married in 1895, coming to Canada in 1907. She resided in Oshawa for a short time, thence to Ayr, where she lived for upwards of 13 years. When Christ Church (Episcopalian) was organized she became one of its first members, and was also a prominent member of the Women's Guild. The members of her family comprise three daughters, Mrs. Thos. Hawes, Ayr, and Addie and Eliza at home. One sister, Mrs. Wm. Manley, also resides here, and four other sisters and one brother live in England. Mr. White also survives. The funeral took place on Saturday afternoon to the Ayr cemetery, Rev. E. L. Roberts conducting the service. The pallbearers were Messrs. Harry Marshall, Percy Carter, Harold Cornford, W. Watkins, and Jacob and Arthur Undeerwood.
