    On Monday morning, at Lee Manor, Audrey Elizabeth MacDonald died as she lived; surrounded by her family, contented, full of love and grace. Most recently confined by her illness, she is now free and celebrating with the family and friends who have gone on before. Serving dinner with rolls. Heavenly! Teacher, mother, owner of Lawson's, 1980-1996. Dearly loved wife of J. William "Bill" MacDonald. Loving mother of Carolyn (Ian Williamson) MacDonald, of Rockwood, Mary Ann MacDonald (Steve Duncan), of Owen Sound, Miriam (Vic) Ratzlaff, of Ridgeville and Paul (Julia) MacDonald, of Allenford. Proud grandmother of Trayvon, Jaden, Caleb (Jenica), Brianna, Seth, Charis (Ryan), Cai, Jacob, Luke and Maisie and great-grandmother of Leland and Ezra. Dear sister of Miriam Cressman, of Kitchener, James (Janice) Snider, of Cambridge, Kenneth (Marie) Snider, of Atwood, Lucy (Elmer) Ellison, of Moorefield and Bob Snider, of Kitchener. Audrey will be missed by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, Stanley and Erma Snider; her brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Dorothy Snider and her brother-in-law, Howard Cressman.

    SNIDER, J. Stanley -- At Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on March 15, 1985, John Stanley Snider formerly of RR 2, Atwood, aged 81 years. Former member of the Mannheim, Strasburg and Listowel Mennonite Churches. Presently a member of Preston Mennonite Church. Very active in the community in which he lived. Husband of the late Erma Snider (nee Shantz) who predeceased him in 1978. Father of Paul and his wife Dorothy of Ayr, James and his wife Janice of Cambridge, Kenneth and Wife Marie of Arwood, Robert of Ayr, Miriam (Mrs. Howard Cressman) of Kitchener, Audrey (Mrs. William MacDonald) of Owen Sound and Lucille (Mrs. Elmer Ellison) of Moorefield; brother of A. Leonard Snider of Waterloo. Predeceased by his parents Ephram and Lucinda Snider; one daughter Mary Carol and one sister Sylvia (Mrs. Solomon Gehman). Sixteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive. Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Saturday 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral service and committal will take place at Preston Mennonite Church Sunday at 3 p.m. Spring burial will take place at Mannheim Mennonite cemetery.

    Snider, J. Stanley, son of Ephraim and Lucinda (Hallman) Snider, was born at Kitchener, Ont., Feb. 24, 1904; died of a heart attack at Cambridge Hospital, Mar. 15, 1985; aged 81 y. On Sept. 4, 1929, he was married to Erna Shantz, who died on Feb.2, 1978. Surviving are 4 sons (Paul, James, Kenneth, and Robert), 3 daughters (Miriam-Mrs. Howard Cressman, Audrey-Mrs. William MacDonald, and Lucille-Mrs. Elmer Ellison), 16 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and one brother (A. Leonard Snider). He was preceded in death by one daughter (Mary Carol) and one sister (Sylvia-Mrs. Solomon Gehman). He was a member of Preston Mennonite Church, where funeral services were held on Mar. 17, in charge of Brian Bauman and Paul Martin; interment in Mannheim Cemetery.

A member of Listowel Mennonite Church, she had a lifelong interest in Christian education and the W.M.S.C. Beloved wife of J.     Snider, Lucinda, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Hallman, was born at New Dundee, Ont. ; died at the St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, Ont., after a long illness, Jan. 26, 1964; aged 90y. On May 17, 1889, she was married to Ephraim Snider, who survives. He is deacon at the Strasburg Church, where she also served faithfully. Also surviving are 2 sons (J. Stanley and A. Leonard), one daughter (M. Sylvia), one brother (J. Riley), 10 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. Seven brothers and 3 sisters preceded her in death. Funeral services were held at the church, Jan. 29, in charge of Lester Bauman, assisted by J. b. Martin.

    Shantz, --Herbert, eldest son of the late Aaron and Leah (Snider) Shantz, was born Dec. 6, 1874; passed away at his home Feb.28, after a long illness; aged 80 y. 2 m. 22 d. Early in his youth he accepted Christ as his Saviour and became a member of the David Eby Church, and later the Erb Street Mennonite Church. On Dec. 12, 1900, he was united in marriage to Selina Shantz, Manheim, with whom he shared life's joys and sorrows for 54 years. Surviving him are his companion, 4 daughters, (Orpha-Mrs. Vernon Woolner, Kitchener; Lona-Mrs. Joseph Martin, Elimira; Erma-Mrs. Stanley Snider, Kitchener; and Wilma-Mrs. Martin Horst, Waterloo), 12 grandchildren, one great grandchild, one brother (Ephraim), and one sister (Mrs. Urias Snider, Waterloo). One sister preceded him in death in 1935. He was faithful Christian and always interested in the work of the church. Services were conducted at the Erb St. Mennonite Church, Waterloo, Ont., by Clare Shantz and J. B. Martin, with burial in the Erb Street Cemetery.

    SNIDER. John Snider was born in Waterloo, Ont., Dec. 24, 1848; passed peacefully away Feb. 15, 1930; aged 81 y. 1 m. 22 d. On June 5, 1870, he was united in marriage to Magdalena Snyder, who preceded him in death Oct. 3, 1900. On Aug. 12, 1903, he was married to Lydia E. Bergey, who also preceded him in death on Jan. 30, 1925. To the first union were born four children, two daughters (Hannah and Almina) dying in infancy. Those who remain are two sons, (Ephraim and Urias), and eight grandchildren. Bro. Snider had the joy of seeing all his children and grandchildren converted and unite with the Mennonite Church. He was a member of the Mennonite Church for many years. He was patiently waiting and longing to leave this world, and to go home to be with Jesus. Funeral services were held on the 18th at the First Mennonite Church, Kitchener, in charge of Bros. O. Burkholder and Jesse B. Martin. Text, Isa. 3: 10, 11. Interment in adjoining cemetery.

After their marriage they moved on the farm they still occupy, the old 'Christian Martin Farm', about one-half mile from the Martin Mennonite Meeting House. They have a family of four children"

    Shantz - Aaron, was born 3 miles north of Waterloo, March 3, 1851; died Sept. 28. 1943; aged 92 y. 6 m. 25 d. He was married to Leah Snider who predeceased him 2 years ago. Surviving are 2 sons, Herbert and Ephraim, and a daughter, Sabina (Mrs. Urias Snider), all of Waterloo. One daughter, Lucina, died a little over 7 years ago. Nine grandchildren and 21 greatgrandchildren also survive. Bro. Shantz in his early years after his conversion united with the Mennonite Church and lived a faithful devoted Christian life until the Lord called him home. He attended church services as long as his strength enabled him. Funeral services were conducted by Bro. J. B. Martin at the Erb Street Mennonite Church, Waterloo, Ont.

    Shantz. - Esther (Cressman) Shantz was born at New Dundee, Ont., Jan. 20, 1848; died at her home near Petersburg, Ont., Sept. 4, 1919 ; aged 71 y. 7 m. 16 d. She was united in marriage to Amos M. Shantz. To this union were born 3 sons and 6 daughters. One daughter preceded her to the spirit world. She is survived by her husband, 3 sons, 5 daughters, 14 grandchildren, 1 sister and 3 brothers.
