    Kropf, George Wayne Age 54, passed away peacefully, at home, surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, September 10, 2013. Beloved husband of Tami Kropf and much loved stepdad of Amy McGraw (Darryl) and Corey Gale. Special poppa to JoLynn and Jacob McGraw. Survived by his mother June Kropf (nee Klie), predeceased by his father George Kropf Sr. Also survived by his sister JoAnn Kropf-Hedley (Hedge) and his niece Cuyler Hedley-Marion (Todd ) and great-niece Riley Dane. Son-in-law to Earl and Sandra McKnight and dear brother-in-law to Kelli and Jim Driscoll. George was a carpenter and will be sadly missed by his construction family in Kitchener. Cremation has taken place and as per George's wishes, there will be a private family service at a later date. Donations may be made to the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre in George's memory. For those of you who knew and loved George, you will remember his love of music. To quote one of his favorite artists "Love the life you live, Live the life you love"

    Kropf, George C. W. - Passed away peacefully, on Saturday, Jan. 8, 1994, at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, after a wonderful and special Christmas at home, George Charles William Kropf, of Kitchener. George was born in Kitchener 70 years ago as the son of the late George and Elizabeth Kropf. He will be sadly missed by his many family members and friends. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Jane (nee Klie); daughter, Joann Kropf-Hedley and her husband Kevin (Hedge) of Cobourg, Ont. and son, George Jr. of Thunder Bay, Ont. He will also be dearly missed by his only granddaughter, Cuyler Dawn Hedley. Dear brother of Esther and her husband Ken Gawthorn, Gladys Klie, Ab and his wife Ruth, Art and his wife Joan, Bob and his wife Ann, Lawrence and his wife Gloria, Wayne and his wife Gail and Dianne and her husband Jack Hause, all of Kitchener. Also many nieces and nephews. George was an active member in the Canadian Provost Corps, Argyle & Sutherland Highlanders of Canada, Royal Canadian Legion, Waterloo Rod & Gun Club, Bruce Lodge Masonic Temple and the Mocha Shrine Temple, London. He served in the Canadian Army from 1940 until his retirement in 1968 at which time he was employed with Ontario Hydro until he retired in 1988. After this time, he worked for the City of Kitchener part time until early 1983. At George's request, there will be no visitation or funeral service in the funeral home. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 11, 1994 at 2 p.m. at Bridgeport United Church, 40 Bridge St. W., Kitchener, Ont. N2K 1K7.     KROPF, June Pearl (nee Klie) June, age 85, died February 26, 2014 at her home in Cobourg of natural causes. She was predeceased in death by her husband George and last year by her son George. She is survived by daughter JoAnn Kropf-Hedley (Hedge) and daughter-in-law Tami Kropf. Grandchildren Cuyler Hedley Marion (Todd), Amy McGraw (Darryl), and Corey Gale, great-grandchildren Riley, Jolynn, Jake and Alanna. She will be dearly missed by her sisters-in-law Gloria and Jakey Kropf, Dianne Hause, Jean and Marg Klie, her brothers-in-law Ken Gawthorn Bob, Wayne and Ab Kropf, many nieces and nephews, lifelong friends, Wilma Manary and Denny Rogers and the folks who recently came into her life in Lanark and Pallisade Gardens Retirement Homes. June was born in Bridgeport on June 7, 1928 to Leslie and Cora Klie (nee Hallman) and had six older brothers Vern (Winnie), Harry (Gladys), Carl (Lil), John (Marg), George (Eva) and Fred (Jean). After graduating from KCI she went to work at the Kitchener City Hall, where she met George who was on the City Police Force at the time. They married in Germany where George was in the Canadian Armed Forces and travelled the world/country for the duration of their marriage. They retired back to Kitchener in the early 90's. June remained an interested member of Bruce Chapter #253 of the Order of the Eastern Star. June's qualities were always those of kindness, sweetness, patience and humour. She was a devoted mother, grand- mother, great-grandmother and friend, and will be remembered always with love. Funeral services will be held April 12th at 11 a.m. at the Bridgeport United Church.     Misfortune:
    Sergt. George Kropf, wounded at the battle of Courcelette on Sept. 15, returned home to Kitchener last Wednesday. He lost a hand and still has his left arm in a sling. The boat on which he returned took 16 days to make the trip owing to the presence in the Atlantic of a German raider. Sergt. Kropf left with the 34th Battalion but was transferred to the 27th Winnipeg.

    Leslie C. Klie, former member of Waterloo township council, died Monday of last week in St. Mary's Hospital at the age of 82

    Mr. Klie was born in Kitchener and lived on his RR 2, Waterloo, farm for 45 years. He was the founder and original owner of Purity Dairy.

    At the time of his death, he was a member of the Senior Citizen's Club and Bridgeport Emmanuel United Church.

    He is survived by his wife, the former Cora May Hallman, whom he married in January, 1913; five sons, George, Vernon and Harry of RR 2, Waterloo, Carl of Waterloo, John of North Surrey, B.C. and Frederick of Bracebridge; a daughter, Mrs. George (June) Kropf of RR 2, Petersburg, 22 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

    Notes:

    Mr. George Kropf one of Kitchener's life long residents died suddenly last night at about five o'clock in the person of George Kropf at his residence, 201 East Weber street. The deceased was in his 59th year and had been in poor health for almost a year. The late Mr. Kropf was born in Germany but came direct to Kitchener where he entered the employ of the Canada Furniture company on his arrival. He was an old and faithful employee of this company up to the time of his first illness in March. Mr. Kropf was a faithful member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church during the time of his residence in Kitchener. He was also a member of Court 72 of the Foresters and of the K O T M. Surviving him are his wife, five sons and one daughter as follows: Albert George and Henry and Erma, Mrs. F. Kehn of Kitchener, William of Sturgis, Mich. and Edwin of Armstrong, Ont. Two sisters, Mrs. Geo Snyder of Kitchener and Mrs. John Listman of Stratford and two brothers in Germany also survive. The funeral of the late Mr. Kropf will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2: 30 from his late residence, 201 East Weber street to the Ease End Lutheran cemetery for internment.

    Mrs. Katherine Kropf, widow of George Kropf, who resided at 201 Weber St. E., died yesterday at the K-W Hospital in her 86th year. She was born in Germany and came to Canada in her 21st year, being married in this city two years later. Mrs. Kropf is survived by three sons, William, Sturgis, Mich., George of Kitchener and Henry of Waterloo, a daughter, Mrs. Fred Kehn, and 18 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The funeral will be from the Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home Thursday at two o'clock, to St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery. Rev. A. H. Eissfeldt will officiate. The remains are resting at the funeral home.

    Mrs. Charles A. Hoy

    Elizabeth Priscilla Hoy, wife of Charles A. Hoy, Ahrens street, Kitchener, passed away on Tuesday at her home after a lingering illness. Mrs. Hoy, who was born in England and migrated to this country 27 years ago, was in her 64th year. She attended St. John's Anglican Church. Surviving are her husband and seven sons, William, Charles, John, Harry, Laurence, George and Arthur, all of Kitchener; twenty-two grandchildren and one great grandchild. Five brothers, George Aylward, Guelph, Harry Aylward, Hamilton, David Aylward, Toronto, Joseph Aylward, London, Eng, and Arthur Aylward of Kitchener, and two sisters, Mrs. S. Gannon, London, Eng., and Mrs. S. Baetz, Ganonoque, also survive. The funeral was held this (Thursday) morning from the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home to Woodland Cemetery for interment. Rev. J. N. H. Mille officiated.
