After her marriage with Mr. Campbell she resided on the Campbell homestead, lot 2, con. 12, Blenheim, now occupied by her son George, and were she died 22 years after the death of her husband. The fruits of the union were eleven children, nine of whom survive her. These are William, Blenheim; Mrs. R. Forbes, Saskatoon, Sask,; James, Blenheim; Mrs. R.W. Bass, Blenheim; John, Blenheim; Mrs. Donald Gunn, Drumbo; Robert and George on the homestead; Mrs. Wm. Rutherford, Waterloo Township. The two who predeceased her are Gordon and Bella.

She was ever deeply interested in all good works, and an energetic advocate of moral reform. In sickness she was "a mother in Israel" and thus endeared herself to a wide circle of friends and neighbors - in short she was all a woman should be, a faithful wife, a good mother and a friend in need. The funeral on Monday to the Ayr cemetery was largely attended, Rev. J.J. Brown conducting the service.

    Notes:

DEATH OF MR. WALTER BRAIDWOOD - this very old resident of Galt passed away at the residence of his son-in-law, Mr. John Rutherford, in Waterloo, on Monday morning last, almost suddenly. He had been in his usual health up to Sabbath, but that day did not appear to be quite well, although up and taking his meals. Monday morning, Mr. Rutherford went to his room and lit his fire and he then said he did not feel quite well and would go back to bed. In a short time Mrs. Rutherford took him up some breakfast, of which he had taken scarcely a mouthful before he complained of severe pain in the region of his heart and lying back in his bed almost instantly breathed his last, heart disease or failure of the heart being the supposed cause of death.

Mr. Braidwood was in his 81st year. He came from Roxburghshire, Scotland, to this country in 1841. Of his early years after coming here we find but little record, but soon he entered into business as a butcher with Mr. Wm. Ramsay, on North Water Street. Carrying this on for some time, the firm dissolved and went out of business, and from that time, if we mistake not, Mr. Braidwood principally occupied himself with dealing in hides, accumulating considerable means. Old age and the loss of his aged wife caused his withdrawal from active life, and for some years he has taken his ease, latterly, for the sake of companionship, residing with Mr. and Mrs. Rutherford. Mr. Braidwood was an active, cheery man, widely known and very much respected. He leaves one son, Mr. Wm. Braidwood, of Pontiac, Michigan, and three daughters, viz.: Mrs. John Rutherford, of Waterloo, Mrs. John Kay, and Mrs. John wells, of St. Catherine's.

Mr. Braidwood's funeral took place on Wednesday last, from Mr. Rutherford's residence, Waterloo, to Mount View Cemetery, Galt, being largely attended by his old friends.

    Death of Mrs. Walter Braidwood

We have before mentioned the serious illness of this aged and long resident of Galt. During the last week or more it was evident that her death was to be expected and it was therefore no surprise to the many friends of the family to hear on Saturday morning that she had passed to her eternal rest. Her son, Mr. Wm. Braidwood, was over from Pontiac, Michigan, a few days before her death, and while the end was evidently not far off, it was not expected so soon as it occurred, consequently business engagements compelled his return on Friday. For her aged husband, in the bitter hour of his sorrow, there is only left the warm sympathy of his many old friends.
