    SABILA, Adam Joseph

    On Tuesday. Oct. 5, 1993, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, in his 78th year. Beloved husband of Barbara (nee Moe); dear father of Nancy Munch, Robert and his wife Rose Marie, Douglas and his wife Barbara. Loved grandfather of Michael Munch, Geniene and Jeremy Sabila, Kevin and Jennifer Sabila. Survived by three sisters, Johanna (Mrs. Hugh Kieswetter) of Toronto, Charlotte Brown of Preston and Lorraine Cottle of Toronto. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Adam was the owner of Galt Tent & Awning Ltd., until his retirement in 1986. Friends will be received at Little's Funeral Home, 223 Main St. E., Cambridge, today (Wednesday) and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Clement's RC Church, Duke Street, Cambridge, Friday, at 10 a.m. Interment Parklawn Cemetery.

    SABILA, Barbara (nee Moe)

    1922 - 2017. Passed away peacefully, at Stirling Heights with her family by her side, on Thursday, September 7, 2017, at 95 years of age. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Adam Joseph Sabila, in 1993. Barbara will be lovingly remembered by her children; Nancy (John 1980) Munch, Robert (Rose-Marie) Sabila and Douglas (Barbara) Sabila. She will be missed by her grandchildren; Mike, Kevin, Jennifer, Geniene, and Jeremy, and 11 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents, Charles and Rose Moe, brother Roy Moe and great-grandson, Tanner Sabila-Azzopardi. Barb, along with her husband, operated Valens General Store before many years as owners of the Galt Tent and Awning. Special thanks for the loving care provided by the staff in Blair House, at Stirling Heights. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., on Sunday, September 10, 2017, at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas Street N., Cambridge. Funeral Mass will be on Monday, September 11, 2017, at St. Clement's Church, 745 Duke Street, Cambridge, at 9 a.m. Interment to follow at Parklawn Cemetery.

    PRESTON - A well known resident of Preston for the past 40 years, Stanley Sabila, 75, died at his home, 577 Guelph St, yesterday, aftermath of a stroke seven months ago. Born in Lakilow, Poland, the late Mr. Sabila came to Preston in 1913 and has resided here since that time. A moulder by occupation, he was employed with Clare Bros. from 1913 until his retirement a year ago. He was a member of St. Clement's RC Church, and also a member of the Preston Polish Alliance. Surviving are his wife, Agatha Swunder; three daughters, Mrs. Hubert (Johanna) Kieswetter of Blair, W.R. (Charlotte) Brown of Preston and Lorraine Sabila of Blair; one son, Adam of Galt; a brother Louis of Hamburg, N.Y., 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Stella) Gall predeceased him nine years ago, and a son, Leonard died in infancy. The body is at the Stager-Pass Ltd., Funeral Home, from where the funeral will take place Wednesday with requiem high mass at St. Clement's RC Church at 9 a.m. Interment will be in the RC Cemetery, Preston.
