    At Preston Spring Gardens Rest Home in Cambridge, on Sunday, October 7, 1984, in her 73rd year. Wife of the late David Hodgkiss. Mother of Wayne and Mrs. Florence Forler, both of Cambridge; and Shirley (Mrs. Victor Chornaby) of Hamilton. Also survived by seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Predeceased by five brothers and one sister. Mrs. Hodgkiss was born in Victoria County. She was a resident of Cambridge for the past fifty years. Service at the Batherl-Stager Funeral Home on Wednesday at 2. Interment Memory Gardens, Breslau.

    Samuel Hodgkiss

    PRESTON— Samuel Hodgkiss, 81, of 930 Eagle St. North, Preston, died yesterday at his home following an eight-week illness. Mr. Hodgkiss, was born at Staffordshire, England. He had resided here for about 40 years, coming from Blair. He was a member of St. John's Anglican Church. He was the last surviving member of his family. Mr. Hodgkiss was a son of the late Benjamin and Sarah Hodgkiss. He was predeceased by his wife the former Mary Cox, in 1941. The body will be at the home where the funeral will be conducted Sunday at 2: 30 p.m. Rev. Dennis Ewald, a grandson, curate at St. John's church, will officiate. Committal service will be to Park awn memorial chapcl. Interment will be in Park Lawn Cemetery.

    MRS. SAMUEL HODGKISS

    PRESTON. Oct. 9--lll for the past week, Mary Cox, 54, wife of Samuel Hodgkiss, Preston, died suddenly in St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, last evening. Deceased had been a resident of Preston for the past 21 years. Born in Staffordshire, England, she came to Canada 31 years ago, living in Blair for about 10 years, before coming to Preston. Mrs. Hodgkiss attended the Baptist church. Surviving are her husband, a son David, of Preston, two daughters, Mrs. Jack Ewald, Kitchener and Mrs. Odrey Berry, Preston, a brother and sister in England, and three grandchildren. The remains are at the residence, 701 Eagle street, Preston, where funeral service will take place on Saturday at 2.30. Interment will be in the Preston cemetery.

    At his home in Puslinch Township, a well known resident, on Wednesday, May 30, 1945, in his 74th year. He had been ill for only one week. Husband of Annie Robertson. Also survived by four sons, Alfred and William, both of Preston; Henry, at home; Robert in Milton; two daughters, Mrs. Gordon Hartrick and Mrs. David Hotchkiss, both of Preston. He was born in England and came to Canada forty-one years ago. He had operated his own farm in Puslinch. Mr. Eibell was a member of the Anglican Church. His body rested at his residence. Funeral service from the Stager and Co. Funeral Home, Galt St. in Hespeler on Fri., June 1 at 3: 30. Rev. L. V. Pocock of St. James' Anglican Church officiated. Interment Hespeler Cemetery. Pallbearers: Fred Frosch, William Ross, Robert Reeve, Irvin Kreig, Thomas Clark and Daniel Cudney.
