    Friday, July 23, 1976, at the South Waterloo Memorial Hospital, Charles D. Kreig, a resident of the Golden Year Nursing Home, Cambridge, in his 87th year. Beloved husband of the late Jean Ringler; dear father of John T. of Mount Pleasant, Cameron of Preston Cambridge; Elizabeth (Mrs. Joseph Kochutl of Walkerton; Mary (Mrs. Victor Wilson) of Midland; Sylvia (Mrs. Duane Turcotte) of Peterborough. Mr. Kreig was born in Puslinch Township and lived all his life in Cambridge area. He was a woodworker with the Werlich Toy Manufacturing Co. He was also a member of Knox Presbyterian Church, Cambridge; also survived by one brother, Joseph of Paris. Resting at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge (Preston), for funeral service Monday, July 26, at 2 p.m. Interment Preston cemetery.

    BENJAMIN RINGLER

    PRESTON, Dec, 31 - A resident of Preston for the past 15 years, since he retired from farming at Wroxeter, Ont., Benjamin Ringler died at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kreig, Wednesday, afternoon. Mr. Ringler, who was in his 89th year, had been ailing for some years and seriously ill for the last week. Born at Bright Station, near Platteville, he had resided there during the early part of his life and then farmed at Wroxeter until he retired 15 years ago and along with Mrs. Ringler came to Preston, making their home with Mr. and Mrs. Kreig. He was identified with the Presbyterian Church. Surviving are his wife, formerly Elisabeth Carmichael; one daughter, Mrs. Charles Krcig, Preston; five brothers, Aaron of Listowel, William of Lucknow, Moses of Sault Ste. Marie, Mich., Solomon of Pontiac, Mich., John of Friday Harbor, Wash.; three sisters, Mrs. Robert Hupfer, Wroxeter, Ont; Mrs. E. Hart, Windsor; Mrs. Andrew Tennant, Dearborn, Mich.; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Two sons predeceased him, Benjamin H. died at Galt in 1932 and John C. Ringler was killed in action in September, 1918, in France. The remains are resting at the residence, 508 Stuart Street, Preston, from where the funeral will be held on Saturday, at 3: 30 p m. Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery.

    Mrs. Elizabeth Ringler

    PRESTON, July 11 - The death occurred at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kreig, Stewart St., of Mrs. Elizabeth Ringler yesterday. Mrs. Ringler, who was in her 88th year, had been ailing for some time. Born in Fullerton she lived there until she was eight years of age when she went to Wroxeter, living there until 17 years ago when she came to Preston. Her husband, Benjamin, predeceased her in December, 1943, as well as two sons, John, who was killed in 1918 during the First Great War, and Benjamin, who died in Galt in 1932. Eight sisters and one brother also predeceased her. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Charles Kreig of Preston, eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was of the Presbyterian faith. The deceased is resting at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, 508 Stewart St., from where the funeral will be held on Friday at 2: 30 p.m., with interment in the Preston Cemetery.
