    KNEISEL, Wilfred Passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at The Village at University Gates, Waterloo. Wilfred had farmed at R.R. # 1 Wellesley for 65 years and followed all areas of farming well after his retirement. Wilfred and Reta resided at Nith Terrace in New Hamburg for a number of years. He was born 92 years ago in North Easthope Township and was the son of the late Frederick and Louisa (Foerster) Kneisel. Beloved husband of Reta (Schmidt) Kneisel whom he married May 4, 1946. Loving father of Darlene Kelterborn and Thom Hagerty of Guelph, Wayne Kneisel and Karen Heipel of New Hamburg, Delores and Luke Schwartzentruber, Brian and Barbara Kneisel, all of R.R.# 1 Wellesley. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Barry (Kim), Kristen (Paul), Jennifer (Matthew), Nathan (Sarah), Joshua, Katelyn, Adam (Stephanie), Graham (Kara), Leah, Stephanie (Peter), Ryan (Melody) and great-grandchildren Christopher, Claire, Kaleigh, Emily, Emily, Sinead, Nathan, Ashley, Nelson and Wesley. Dearly loved by Susan, Raymond and Timothy Seyler. Dear brother of Alice Knipfel of Sudbury. Wilfred was predeceased by son Roy in 1977, daughter Dianne Hoffman in 1973, sisters Dorothy and Armand Lantz, Gertrude and Norman Jacky, brothers Harvey and Marie Kneisel, Walter and Margaret Kneisel, one in infancy and brother-in-law Elmer Knipfel. Wilfred was an active member of St. James Lutheran Church, North Easthope Township. Family and friends will be received at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron Street, New Hamburg on Sunday, February 14, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday, February 15, 2016 at 11: 00 a.m. at St. James Lutheran Church, North Easthope Township with Pastor Barry Boeckner officiating.     KNEISEL, Reta Bernice (Schmidt) Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at The Village of University Gates, Waterloo. Reta had farmed along side her husband Wilfred at RR#1 Wellesley.     WELLESLEY - Mrs. Frederick Kneisel of Lisbon died Monday at K-W Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was 82. Mrs. Kneisel, the former Louisa Maria Foerster, was born in Wellesley Township, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Foerster. She was a member of St. James' Lutheran Church in North Easthope Township. Surviving are her husband, to whom she was married at St. Clements, Feb. 28, 1911; three sons, Harvey and Wilfred of RR 1, Wellesley, and Walter of RR 2, Wellesley; three daughters, Mrs. Armand (Dorothy) Lantz of Wellesley, Mrs. Norman (Gertrude) Jacky of St. Agatha and Mrs. Elmer (Alice) Knipfel of Waterloo; two sisters, Mrs. George (Milinda) Glebe of Kitchener and Mrs. David (Annie) Cook of RR 1, Gadshill; 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, two sisters and four brothers. The body will be at the Futher Bros. Funeral Home, Wellesley, until noon Thursday when removal will be made to St. James' Lutheran Church, North Easthope Township, for a service at 2: 30 p.m. conducted by Rev. Orval Jansen. Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery.

    Mr. Schmidt was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, St. Agatha, where he served on the church council for 16 years; farmed at Rummelhardt and was a rural mail carrier for 20 years.

    Beloved husband of the former Caroline Westfall; father of Floyd of Drumbo, Reta Kneisel of Lisbon, Ralph of Bridgeport, Ward of Conestogo, Beatrice Clemmer of New Hamburg, Glen of Kitchener, Wray of Washington, U.S.A., Nyle of Cambridge, Cleo of Alberta, Doreen Jacobi of Waterloo, Dorothy Jutzi of Port Elgin and Audrey Schumm of Tavistock. Thirty-six grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren also survive. Brother of Simon of Kitchener and Gordon of Windsor.

    WELLESLEY, March 9 - Mrs. Anna Kneisel, 84, of Lisbon, died yesterday in St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, after a two-day illness. Mrs. Kneisel was born in North Easthope Township, daughter of the late Frederick and Marie Seegmiller.

    She was a member of St. James's Lutheran Church and the Ladies` Aid of that church, North Easthope.

    Surviving are three sons, Fred and Edward. Lisbon; and Alfred, Bright; one brother, Daniel Seegmiller, Kitchener; one sister, Mrs. Mary Hartung, Tavistock; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

    She was predeceased by her husband and two sons

    The body will rest at the Futher Funeral Home, Wellesley, until 3 pm. tomorrow. The funeral will be held at her home at Lisbon on Saturday at 2: 30 p.m., followed by a memorial service in St. James's Lutheran Church, North Easthope, at 3 p.m, Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. Rev. H. Bindhammer will officiate.

    On Monday, 11th inst., death entered the home of Mr. Martin F. Schmidt[sic], a farmer living on the Town line between Woolwich and Waterloo and took from his side the beloved partner of his joy and sorrows for the past 17 years, at the early age of 39 years and 5 months. She suffered from a lingering illness of 19 months. Her maiden name was Catherine Wagner and her father was formerly a resident of Waterloo. She leaves a sorrowing husband and six children, four boys and two girls to mourn the loss of an affectionate wife and kind mother. The funeral will take place this (Thursday) afternoon at the Lutheran church, Erbsville. The bereaved [unreadable] have the sympathy of their friends and neighbors in the great affliction which has fallen upon them.

    HENRY WESTFALL

    Henry Westfall died before his could say word to his wife who was nearby

    While weighing goods to take to the local market, Henry Westfall who resided on the Guelph road near Breslau, died very suddenly this morning at 3:20 o'clock.

    Deceased who was in his 65th year, had arisen early and, assisted by his wife, was weighing sausage in his kitchen when without warning he fell to the floor and expired without speaking a word.

    Dr. Ratz of this city was called but life was extinct when he arrived.

    He gave the cause of death as heart failure.

    An inquest in to the death will not beheld according to a decision of the coroner.

    Deceased who was born in West Montrose, had lived in this district for 28 years.

    According to his wife, he had never been in better health than that which have had enjoyed this winter and had appeared unusually well this morning.

    Deceased was a member of Shantz Lutheran Church.

    He is survived by his wife, the former Catherine Heibein, two daughters, Mrs. William (Caroline) Schmidt of Waterloo and Mrs. Eli (Luella) Pitz of Bridgeport.

    The funeral will take place on Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock from his late residence to the Breslau cemetery.
