    EBY, Grant Eugene - Just before his 93rd birthday, went to be with his Lord, on Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at Fairview Mennonite Home, Cambridge. Beloved husband and best friend of Jeanne (nee Rebstock) for more than 66 years. He will be sadly missed and forever loved by his children, Gale and her husband Murray Smith, Lynda and her husband Walter Kelly, Chris and his wife Sue, and Steve(deceased 2005) and his wife Janet, as well as grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family and many friends. Predeceased by his parents, Edgar and Beatrice Eby and his brothers, Pearson and Perry. Grant farmed in Bloomingdale from 1944 until his retirement in 1978. He also volunteered his time with Mission Work. Grant's family will receive relatives and friends at Fairview Mennonite Home, 515 Langs Dr., Cambridge on Friday from 3-4 p.m. and at the Henry Walser Funeral Home , 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467 on Friday from 7-9 p.m. and Saturday from 10-10: 45 a.m. The funeral service for Grant will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, June 20, 2009 at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow.     EBY, Jeanne A. (nee Rebstock) Passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 17, 2016 at Barnswallow Place in Elmira at the age of 92. Loving wife of the late Grant for over 66 years. Beloved mother of Gale Smith and her husband Murray of Elmira, Lynda Kelly and her husband Walter of Toronto, Chris Eby and his wife Bonnie of Woodstock and the late Stephen Eby (2005) and his wife Janet of London. Cherished grandma to many grand, great-grand and great-great-grandchildren. Jeanne will also be remembered by her brother-in-law Rob and the late June Quinsey. She was very active in her church, was a strong supporter of Emmanuel Bible College and enjoyed volunteering and doing overseas Missions work. Jeanne's family will receive relatives and friends for visitation and refreshments from 11: 00 - 12: 45 p.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467.     EDGAR S. EBY

    For many years a farmer at Breslau, Edgar S. Eby, died last night at the K-W Hospital following an illness of six months' duration. He was born Dec. 8, 1882, to the late Mr. and Mr. George Eby at Gorrie, Ont. He was a member of the Breslau Mennonite Brethren in Christ Church. He is survived by his wife, nee Beatrice Cressman; three sons, Pearson of Breslau, Grant of Bloomingdale and Perry of Fort Erie; three brothers. Ervin of Griddley, Calif.; Angus of Lindsay, Calif. and Clifford of London, Ont.; three sisters. Mrs. Francis Colt, Seattle, Wash.; Mrs. Harry Dobbs, Maple Creek. Sask., and Mrs. Norman Hipel, Preston. Ont. There are two grandchildren. The funeral will be held tomorrow from the M. B. C. Church, Breslau, at three o'clock with Rev. V. K. Snyder officiating. Burial will be in the Preston Cemetery. Remains will rest at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home until noon on Thursday when removal will be made to the church in Breslau, where friends may pay their respects until the hour of the service.

    Funeral services for Mrs. Beatrice L. Eby, 71, RR 1, Breslau, who died at K-W Hospital Friday, will be conducted Monday at 2: 30 p.m. at Breslau United Missionary Church. The body will be at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home until 11 a.m. Monday when removal will be made to the church where friends may call until the hour of service. Interment will be in Preston Cemetery. Mrs. Eby was born in Plattsville, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Eli Cressman. Her husband, Edgar S. Eby, died in 1945. She was a member of Breslau United Missionary Church. Surviving are three sons, Pearson, Breslau; Grant, Bloomingdale; Perry, Kindersley, Sask.; one brother, Gillis, Kindersley; one sister, Mrs. Della Shantz, Plattsville, and eight grandchildren.

    Mrs. Walter J. Rebstock, 79, of RR 2, Waterloo, died at K.W Hospital following a brief illness.

    She was the former Lottie Shisler, born in Sherkston, Ont., a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Shisler.

    Mrs. Rebstock resided at RR 2, Waterloo, the past 10 years and was a member of the Bloomingdale United Church and-United Church Women. She formerly lived at Crystal Beach.

    Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Grant (Jeanne) Eby. Bloomingdale, and Mrs. Robert (June) Quinsey, Midland; one brother, Roy Shisler, Buffalo: one sister, Mrs. George (Alice) Martin, Batavia, N.Y., and eight grandchildren.

    She was predeceased by her husband in March, 1963. and by two brothers.

    The body was at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home until 11 a.m.Friday when removal was made to Bloomingdale United Church for funeral service.

    Burial was in the Bloomingdale cemetery.
