    John H. Little Electrocuted
Supt. Of Local Hydro System Killed While Working on Lines.

The community was deeply shocked on Saturday afternoon at 5 o'clock when the word went forth that John H. Little had been electrocuted. Deceased, along with his son, Wilfred, and Mr. Wm. Hawes, was making some alterations to the Hydro lines in the vicinity of the Methodist Church when the accident occurred. Mr. Little was up a pole cutting in on a 110 volt wire, during which operation he received a slight shock. This caused him to jerk back, throwing him against a high power wire, from which received a shock of 2,200 volts. Seeing him pitch forward onto the wire his son rushed on the ladder to his assistance, but his efforts proved futile and after murmuring the words, "I'm killed, fellows." The stricken man expired.

Of a genial, warm hearted disposition deceased was one of the most popular and highly esteemed residents of the village and the place he occupied in the community will be extremely had to fill. Born on the town line, between Roseville and Blair, 56 years ago, he followed the trade of carpenter coming to Ayr some 32 years ago. About 6 years ago he was appointed local Hydro Superintendent, succeeding the late Wesley Ball, who was also electrocuted. During this period he had acted as a painstaking and efficient official, ever ready and willing to accommodate those who required his services.

He was an employee of the Watson Company for a long number of years, but for the last couple of years had worked at Hilborn ?. Deceased was a Presbyterian in religion and a member of the C.O. United Workmen.

He was married some 35 years ago to Anne Byers of Hampden, who along with the following children, survive to mourn the loss of the faithful husband and a kind and loving father: Mrs. W. Winterberg, Detroit; John, Toronto; James, Walter and Wilfred, Ayr. The following brothers and sisters also survive: Walter and William, Blair; Mrs. Moses Abra, Roseville; Mrs. Thos. Henderson, Mary and Anne, Ayr; Mrs. Henry Wolfe, ?ville and Mrs. Byers, Hanover.

The funeral took place on Monday afternoon, when a large concourse of people were present to pay their last respects to a good friend and neighbor. The floral offerings were many and beautiful, including large wreaths from the Hilborn employees and village council. Rev. J. J. Brown officiated and the pallbearers were Messrs. Ben Woolsey, Geo. Cress, J.W. Henderson, Jas. Bell, Alex Murray and A. B. Laurie.
