    SHANTZ, James W. (Jim) - Died suddenly May 25, 2008, at the age of 66, at his home in Hemet, California. Husband of Janet, he will be sadly missed by sister, Sandy and Brian Moyer of Ayr; nieces, Becky and Thom, Sara and Matt, Jessica and Brad and great-niece, Jailyn Mills, all of Cambridge. Also missed by cousins, Debbie and Doug McDaniel and aunt, Ruth Bruder. Predeceased by his parents, Jean and Norm Stahle and Lester Shantz. Jim worked over 30 years for Cooks/Hoegler Pharmacy where he had many cherished friendships, including Walter Cook and Herb Hoegler, prior to retiring in 2004 and moving to Hemet. Jim always had a helping hand or just a gentle ear for anyone who needed it. He will be greatly missed by all his friends. Jim has been laid to rest in Hemet, California. Expressions of sympathy could be made to the Humane Society in memory of Jim. Details of memorial service in Kitchener will be made at a later date.

    SHANTZ, Lester - Passed away peacefully, at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, on Tuesday, March 14, 2000, in his 84th year.

    Survived by his son, Jim Shantz and his wife Janet of Kitchener and his sister, Ruth Bruder of Breslau.

    Predeceased by his parents, Leander and Alberta Shantz as well as his brother-in-law, Ferdinand Bruder.

    Relatives and friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener on Thursday from 1 p.m. until the funeral service in the chapel at 2: 30 p.m. Interment Woodland Cemetery.

    STAHLE, Jean - Peacefully after a brief battle with cancer, at the K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, on Friday, Jan. 12, 2001, Charlotte Jean Stahle (nee Schippling), 80 years of Kitchener.

    Mrs. Stahle was a member of St. Andrew's Anglican Church. She was the baby picture lady who took all the baby pictures at St. Mary's and K-W Health Centre Hospitals for the past 35 years. Also a volunteer with the K-W Hospital Auxiliary.

    Beloved wife of the late Norman Stahle, who predeceased her in 1981. Dear mother of Jim and his wife Janet of Kitchener, Sandy and her husband Brian Moyer of Ayr; loving grandmother of Becky, Sara and Jessica and great-grandmother of Lee-Anne; sister of Rev. Roy Schippling and his wife Marjorie of California and Bernice McDaniel of Kitchener. Missed by her many nieces and nephews.

    Predeceased by her parents and daughter, Toni Dale in infancy.

    Memorial visitation will be held in the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The memorial service will be held in the Ratz-Bechtel Chapel on Tuesday at 1 p.m., Rev. Robert Towler will officiate. Cremation has taken place.

    Reception to follow in the Ratz-Bechtel Family Centre.

    In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Cambridge Rotary Centre would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy by the family.

    Mrs. Gustave C. Schippling, 60, of 208 Kent Ave., died today at the K-W Hospital, after a brief illness. Born in Tavistock, Oct. 27, 1893, she was the former Charlotte A. Kalbfleisch. She attended St. Andrew's Anglican Church. Surviving are her husband; one son, Rev. Roy Schippling of Los Angeles; two daughters, Mrs. Charlotte Shantz of Kitchener and Mrs. Arthur (Bernice) McDaniel of Kitchener; one brother, Edwardof Kitchener; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Goldbeck and Mrs. Con Olies of Toronto and Mrs. Celse Ducharme, Mrs. Samuel Humphrey of Kitchener and three grandchildren.
