MARTIN, David M. - Peacefully, passed, into the presence of his Lord on Saturday, October 25, 2008 at Heritage House, St. Jacobs. David M. Martin in his 90th year of Elmira. Beloved husband of the late Donna F. (Berdan) Martin (1999). Dear father of Helen and Rob Heintz of Roseville, Robert and Jane of Conestogo, Francis Martin and Frances Humphreys of Toronto, Nancy and Sven Brindley of British Columbia, Stephen Martin and Donna McLellan of Kitchener, Doreen Martin of Ajax. Also lovingly remembered by his 10 grandchildren and three great-grandsons and Karen Nemec of Ajax. Step-brother of Ida and Ivan Bearinger of Elmira, Rebecca Martin of Elmira, Barbara Weber of Parkhill, Annie Martin of St. Jacobs and Marjorie Martin of Abbotsford, B.C. Predeceased by his parents, Isaac G. and Nancy Martin, his step-mother, Susannah (Bauman) Martin; two brothers Jacob and Henry Martin; three step-brothers, Amsey, Aden and Moses Martin and his daughter-in-law, Susan. The family will receive their friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home , Elmira on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. At 9 a.m. on Wednesday, October 29, transfer will be made to Woodside Bible Fe1lowship, 200 Barnswallow Drive, Elmira for funeral service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Dan Allen and Pastor Rob Heintz officiating followed by interment in Hawkesville Cemetery. In his memory donations to Gideon Memorial Bibles or Woodside Bible Fellowship -Donna's Place would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy.

MRS. ISAAC MARTIN

Mrs. Isaac G. Martin, 65, died Tuesday night, April 26, after a lengthy illness at her home here, 32 Church street.

She was born in Woolwich Township, March 4, 1884.

Surviving, besides her husband, are three sons, Henry, Kitchener: Jacob. Ottawa; David, Heidelberg: two brothers, Osiah B. Martin, R.R. No. 1, Elmira; Cyrus B. Martin, R.R. 2, Elmira; one sister, Miss Susannah Martin, RR. 1, Waterloo.

The body was at the Dreisinger Funeral Parlor until 9:30 a.m. last Thursday.

The funeral was held Friday, at 2 p.m. A private service was conducted at the residence and public ser- vice in Elmira Mennonite Church. Interment was in the adjoining cemetery.

He was first married, January 23rd, 1869, to Elizabeth Shaefer and after her death to Barbara Gingerich, in May, 1871, and resides at home on his father's place. With his first wife there was one child, a daughter named Elizabeth, married to Tilman M. Martin. With the second wife there are six children".

Levi married, moved to Wallace Township, was ordained a deacon in the Mennonite church, had a daughter, and lost his wife, all in the year 1869. OBITUARY, After a long and painful illness extending over a period of twenty-five years, Mrs. Levi P. Martin (nee Gingrich) passed away on Tuesday evening. For the past seven years the deceased had to be handled and care for very tenderly at ties the least touch or strain causing exquisite pain. She bore her sufferings with great Christian fortitude, always cheerful and patiently waiting for the end. A husband and five children survive her, besides a large circle of relatives. The funeral took place on Friday forenoon. The family have the sympathy of the people of the vicinity.

He resides on the farm occupied by his father at the time of his death, adjoining that of his brother, Abraham, several miles north of Waterloo. On February 3rd, 1874, he was married to Anna, daughter of Elias and Susannah (Bricker) Weber. She was born near Conestogo, January 10th, 1855, and died January 2nd, 1880.
