    HENRY KAVELMAN 1917 - 2009 Henry died peacefully at Nithview Home in New Hamburg, on Tuesday, September 8, 2009, in his 93rd year. Predeceased by his wives, Frances (nee Lotz) in 1974 and Mildred Wurm in 2004. Survived by his son-in-law, Fred Leu of Philipsburg (Henry's daughter, Marianne deceased in 2007); sons, Earl and wife Adele of Clifford and Roy and wife Marie of Kitchener. Remembered by eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Earl, Katherine and Leona and brother-in-law of Margaret and Olivia. Also predeceased by two grandsons, Jim and Edward; two brothers, Neil and Howard; his parents, Fred and Evelyn (nee Armstrong); step-father, Jim Wood; and several in-laws. A special thank you is extended to the staff at Nithview Home for their exceptional care. Relatives and friends are invited to the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home , 171 King St. S., Waterloo for visitation on Friday, September 11 from 12 - 2 p.m. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m., Friday. A reception will immediately follow the service in the funeral home's Fireside Reception Room. Interment at Roseville Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the C.N.I.B., the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or a charity of choice by contacting the funeral home at www.erbgood.com or 519-745-8445. In living memory of Henry, the funeral home will make a donation to the Trees for Learning Program.

    WELLESLEY - John W. Lotz, 67, of RR 2, Wellesley, died suddenly Sunday at the home of his son, Walter, RR 2, Wellesley.

    Born in Wilmot Township Oct. 29, 1894, Mr. Lotz lived in Wellesley Township for the past 24 years. He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Wellesley. His wife, the former Rosa Gulck, died in 1956.

    Surviving are six sons, John of Kitchener, Walter, Herbert of Wellesley, William of St. Clements, Clayton of Kitchener, and Duncan of New Hamburg; three daughters, Mrs. Henry (Frances) Kavelman of New Hamburg, Mrs. Walter (Margaret) Kneisel, RR 2, Wellesley, and Mrs. Edgar (Olivia) Rose of RR 1, Gadshill, 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A son, Lloyd, was killed during the Second World war.

    The body will be at the Futher Funeral Home, Wellesley, until Wednesday noon when removal will be made n St. Mark's Church for the funeral at 2 pm, Rev. Elmer Oleson will officiate. Burial will be n St. Mark's cemetery, Wellesley.

    WELLESLEY - Mrs. John Lotz, 57, of Wellesley, died Friday at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener.

    She was born in Germany, Oct 26, 1898. She came to Canada as a child. Mrs. Lotz was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Giilck. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

    Surviving are her husband, six sons, John, Duncan, Walter and Herbert, all of Wellesley; William, Kingwood; Clayton, Kitchener; three daughters, Mrs. Henry (Frances) Kavelman, New Hamburg; Mrs. Walter (Margaret) Kneisel, Kingwood; Miss Olivia, Wellesley; five brothers, John and Henry, Penticton, B.C.; Nicholas, Orlando Fla; Asmus, New Hamburg; Edward, Bridgeport; five sisters, Mrs. Anna Horsnel, Los Angeles; Mrs. Bertha Armstrong, Chicago; Mrs. Orvel Hoffer, Kitchener; Mrs. Harold Fatum, Kitchener; Mrs. Ella Johnston, Orlando, and 10 grandchildren. One son, Lloyd, was killed in action in 1944, in Holland.

    A private funeral service will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. at the Futher Funeral Home, Wellesley, followed by memorial service at 2:30 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery. Rev. D.H. Stewart will officiate.
