    At his residence, 1338 Grand Valley Dr., Cambridge, Saturday, Sept. 21, 1991, in his 81st year. Beloved husband of Margaret Speckeen; dear father of Michael, Paul and his wife Helen, Debra and her husband Ross Beckman, all of Cambridge and Patricia and her husband Ronald Dennis of Kitchener. Loving grandfather of three grandchildren. Also survived by one brother, Joseph; two sisters, Claire (Mrs. Alf Duncan), Elaine (Mrs. Donald Mertz), both of Cambridge. A resident of Cambridge all his life, retired from Long Manufacturing Ltd., of Cambridge. Friends will be received at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge, today (Monday) 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Clement's Church, Cambridge, Tuesday at 10 a.m. Interment in Parklawn cemetery.

    DUBECK, Margaret May - Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on Wednesday, March 18, 2009. Margaret (nee Speckeen), beloved wife of the late, Gerald Dubeck. Loving mother of Michael Dubeck and his wife Heather of St. George, Paul Dubeck, Debra Beckman and her husband Ross, all of Cambridge and Patricia Dennis and her husband Ronald of Kitchener. Lovingly remembered by seven grandchildren, Gregory (Shelley), Jennifer (Daniel), Laurie (Chris), Nicole, Melissa, Sarah and Seth and one great-grandson, Graham. Survived by one sister, Betty Van Norman of Cambridge. Predeceased by her parents, John and Edith Speckeen; one brother and one sister. Mrs. Dubeck was born in Preston and had been a lifelong resident of the area. She was a member of St. Clement's RC Church. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Clement's RC Church, 745 Duke Street, Cambridge on Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at 10 a.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Grand River Hospital Regional Cancer Centre, the Cambridge Memorial Hospital Foundation Medical Daycare or St. Clement's RC Church would be appreciated by the family.     PRESTON, April 9 - Funeral survice for the late Michael Dubeck, who died Thursday afternoon, will be held at St. Clement's church Sunday afternoon at two o'clock, following a brief service at the residence, 718 Hamilton street, interment will be made in the R. C. Cemetery. Born in Poland, the late Mr. Dubeck came to Canada 29 years ago. He was a resident of Smiths Falls before coming to Preston, 26 years ago. A moulder by trade, the desceased was employed by Clare Bros. and Co., ever since coming to town. The late Mr. Dubeck was a member of the Preston Moulders Union and of St. Clement's church. Besides his wife, four daughters; Mrs. Anthony Onornto, Violet, Clara and Elaine, all of Preston and three sons; Joseph, Edward and Gerald, also of Preston, survive.

    JOHN SPECKEEN

    PRESTON, Aug. 17---John Speckeen, 707 Hespeler St., died this morning at St. Mary's Hospital in his 49th year. He had been confined to hospital for two and a half weeks. The deceased was born at Pine Bush and had lived at Preston for the past 35 years. Prior to that time, he had resided in Hespeler and Sudbury. Mr. Speckeen served in the First Great War with the 111th Battalion. He was employed at the Pattison Woollen Mills, where he had worked for the past 27 years. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Preston. Surviving are his wife, Edith Ridge, and three daughters: Margaret May, Ethel Dorothy Mary and Betty Edith, all at home. There are also three sisters and two brothers: Mrs. T. Willett, Brantford; Mrs. Albert Shingler, Hespeler; Mrs. Eric McDonald, Lansing, Mich.; Frank of Preston and Angus of Toronto. A son, Norman, predeceased him in 1931. The remains are resting at the residence until Saturday at 10 a.m., when they will be removed to the Stager-Pass Funeral Home for the funeral service on Saturday afternoon at 2: 30. Interment will be at Preston Cemetery.
