    Erb.- Michael B., son of Menno L. and Annie (Boshart) Erb, was born in Wilmot Twp., Ont., Sept. 19, 1901; died at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, Ont., Oct. 20, 1987; aged 86 y. On Dec. 11, 1924, he was married to Mary Bast, who survives. Also surviving are 4 sons (Nelson, Lorne, Elmer, and Lloyd), 6 daughters (Anna Mae Gascho, Lorene Shantz, Norma Zehr, Eileen Lebold, Florence Gascho, and Eva McKinnon), 32 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, one brother (Aaron), and one sister (Fanny Jantzi). He was preceded in death by one daughter (Edna, in infancy), one granddaughter, and 3 brothers (Eli, Ezra, and Sam). He was a member of Riverdale Mennonite Church, where funeral services were held on Oct. 23, in charge of Glenn Zehr and David K. Jantzi; interment in Riverdale Cemetery.

    ERB, Michael B. - On Tuesday, Oct. 20, 1987, at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, Michael Erb, of 6 James St., Milverton.

    He had farmed near Millbank prior to his retirement and was born in Wilmot township, 88 years ago, a son of the late Menno L. Erb and the former Annie Boshart. He was a member of Riverdale Mennonite Church, Millbank and a member of the Milverton Senior Citizens. Beloved husband of the former Mary Bast, whom he married December 11, 1924. Lovingly remembered by his children. Nelson and his wife Leona of Millbank, Anna Mae ,and her husband Allen Gascho of Newton, Lorne and his wife Ruby of RR 1 Milverton, Lorene and her husband Lowell Shantz of Hanover, Elmer and his wife Adeline of Millbank, Norma and her husband Harold Zehr of Attica, Mich., Eileen and her husband Ralph Lebold of Waterloo, Florence and her husband David Gascho of RR 1, Milverton, Eva and her friend Wes McKinnon of Mount Budges, Lloyd and his wife Laurene of Millbank; dear brother of Aaron of Lowville, N.Y. and Fanny Mrs. Ezra Jantzi) of Wellesley. Sadly missed by 32 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.

    Michael was predeceased by one daughter, Edna in infancy; one great-granddaughter, Joanna in infancy and three brothers, Eli, Ezra and Sam.

    Friends and relatives may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 9 Pacific Ave., Milverton, after 7 p.m. this evening (Wednesday) and until Friday, Oct. 23 at noon, when transfer will be made to Riverdale Mennonite Church, Millbank, for the service at 2 o'clock p.m., with Rev. Glenn Zehr and Rev. David Jantzi officiating. interment in the church cemetery.

    ERB, Mrs. Mary on Friday, Nov. 24, 1989, at RECU of Stratford General Hospital, Mary Erb, of 6 James St., Milverton. She was born in Wellesley township 88 years ago, a daughter of the late Andrew Bast and the former Elizabeth Schultz. She was a member of the Riverdale Mennonite Church, Millbank, where she was a member of the WMSC. She had been a member of the Happy Hollow Helpers, Milverton. Beloved wife of Michael B. Erb, who predeceased her October 20, 1987. Dear mother of three sons, Nelson and Leona, Elmer and Adeline, Lloyd and Lauren, all of Millbank; six daughters, Anna Mae and Allen Gascho of Newton, Lorene and Lowell Shantz of RR 2, Walkerton, Norma and Harold Zehr of Attica, Mich., Eileen and Ralph Lebold of Waterloo, Florence and David Gascho of RR 1, Milverton, Eva and Wes MacKinnon of RR 1, Mount Bridges; one daughter-in-law, Ruby Erb of RR 1, Milverton.     Menno L. Erb
    Wellesley - Menno L. Erb, 79, died early today at his home near Wellesley following an illness of three weeks. Born Feb. 24, 1874, in Wilmot Township, he was a son of the late Joel Erb and Barbara Lichty. A retired farmer, he was a member of Cedar Grove Amish Mennonite Church, 3rd line of Wellesley. He is survived by his wife, the former Anna Boshart; four sons, Michael and Ezra of Millbank, Aaron and Eli of Lowville, N.Y.; one daughter Mrs. Ezra (Fannie) Jantzi of Wellesley; two brothers, Christian of Tavistock and Noah of Mannheim and one sister, Mrs. Albert Kennel of Victoriaburg, near Wilmot Centre. Thirty-one grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive. One son predeceased him. The body is at the residence where a private service will be held Sunday at 1 p.m. Removal will be made in Cedar Grove Amish Mennonite Church for a memorial service at 1: 45 p.m. Burial will be in the adjoining cemeteryy. Bishop Samuel Roth will officiate.

    MILLBANK - A native of East Zorra township, Mrs. Annie Erb, 75, of Millbank, died Wednesday at the home of her son, Michael, RR 1, Millbank. A daughter of the late Jacob Boshart and Marie Jantzi, she was a member of Cedargrove Amish Mennonite Church, third line of Wellesley Township. Her husband, Menno, to whom she was married Dec. 15, 1898, in Wilmot Township, died in 1954. Survivors include four sons, Michael of RR 1, Millbank, Ezra of Millbank, Aaron and Eli of Lowville, N.Y.; one daughter, Mrs. Ezra (Fannie) Jantzi of Wellesley; one brother, Michael of Wellesley; seven sisters, Mrs. Aaron Jantzi, Mrs. Christian Roth and Mrs. Moses Bast of Wellesley, Mrs. John Albrecht and Mrs. Marie Steckley of Millbank, Mrs. Joseph Lebold of Milverton and Mrs. Peter Lather of Heidelberg; 43 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. The body is at the home of her son Michael where a service will be conducted Sunday at 1: 30 p.m. Memorial service will be conducted by Bishop Samuel Roth at Cedargrove church Sunday at 2: 30 p.m. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.

    Following an illness of 12 weeks, Andrew Bast, 85, of Wellesley, died last week at K-W Hospital. Born Jan. 12, 1871, in Wellesley Township, he was a farmer and lifelong resident of the district. He was a member of the Maple View Amish Wellesley. Mennonite Church
    His wife, the former Elizabeth Schultz, predeceased him in 1946. Their marriage took place in Wellesley in 1900 Surviving are three sons, George of Britton, Samuel of Wellesley, Elvy of Milbank: six daughters, Mrs. Michael (Mary) Erb of Milbank, Mrs. Samuel (Emma) Lebold of Milverton, Mrs. Daniel (Lura) Wilker of RR 1, Britton, Mrs. John (Elizabeth) Gerber of Wellesley, Mrs. Emanuel (Clare) Zehr of Milverton and Mrs. Elmer (Vera) Erb of Wellesley; two brothers, Mose of Wellesley and Rudolph of Crosshill, four sisters Mrs. John Jantzi and Mrs. David Brunk of Wellesley, Mrs. Mose Roth and Mrs. David Miller of Baden, 38 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

    Mrs. Joel Erb

    An aged and highly esteemed resident of this district passed away on Monday in the person of Mrs. Joel Erb at the age of 87 years and 11 months at the home of her son-in-law, Mrs. Albert Kennel, at Victoriaburg. She had been ill for two weeks due to old age. The deceased was a lifelong resident of the township and a member of the Amish-Mennonite church. Her husband predeceased her, but she leaves four sons and five daughters, namely; Joel and Christian of Tavistock, Menno, near Crosshill, Noah at Pine Hill, Mrs. J. Gascho, Zurich, Mrs. Witterich, Lowville, N.Y., Mrs. J. Gingerich, St. Agatha, Mrs. John Stiere, East Zorra, and Mrs. Albert Kennel, Victoriaburg. The funeral was held yesterday forenoon to the Baden A.-M. Church and cemetery and was largely attended.

Sister Schultz was a consistent member of the Amish church since her youth and may well have been called a mother in Israel. She was buried Dec. 22, in the graveyard adjoining the Wellesley meeting-house; funeral services by Peter Spenler at the house, and Christian Zehr, Sr., and Nicholas Nafziger at the meeting-house.
