    SCHEERER, Laverne Gordon Went to his Heavenly home where he is now able to walk, run and see with no handicaps and no pain. He passed peacefully on Saturday, November 19, 2011 surrounded by family. Laverne was in his 64th year. He was a loving and caring husband to his wife Susan to whom he was married for 39 1/2 years. Laverne was a strong, supportive and guiding father and mentor to his four boys: David (Sylvia), Dwaine (Jody), Dan (Lisa), and Daryl (Samantha). He was also a special "Grampa" to his grandchildren Connor and Carlin, Aiden and Anna, and Thomas and Julia. He will be watching as his newest grandson is born in February. He will also be missed by his two four-legged side-kicks, Teika and Feebie. Laverne and Susan raised their boys on their chicken farm outside of Drayton, where he also had a successful electrical business for 35 years. Laverne also leaves behind his siblings: Russell (Mildred), Mervin (Florence), Gladys, Roy (Esther), John (Sharon). He will also be missed by his mother-in-law Doreen Lopers, as well as Susan's brothers and sisters: Hank (Mary), Jake (Anne), Helen (Brian), John (Paula), Alice, Rosanne (Bob), Richard (Marianne), Edward (Faith), and Lois (Gary). He is predeceased by his parents John and Edna Scheerer, his brother Clare (Joan), and his father-in-law Fritz Lopers. The family will receive friends at the Drayton Christian Reformed Church, Main Street, Drayton on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Rev. Albert Dreise will conduct the Funeral Service in the Drayton Christian Reformed Church on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Followed by interment in Drayton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Laverne's honour to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Palmerston Hospital Foundation.     Ernst.-Henry B. Ernst was born at Bamberg, Ont., March 11, 1873; died at his residence in Waterloo, Ont., Oct. 1, 1937; aged 64 y. 7 m. 19 d. He was married to Eleanor Randall who predeceased him 27 years ago. He leaves his beloved wife and 2 sons (Eldon of Embro, Stanley at home), 3 daughters (Mrs. Henry Scheerer and Mrs. John Scheerer of St. Jacobs, and Elma at home). Brother Ernst accepted the Lord Jesus Christ in his youth and united with the Mennonite Church in which communion he fellowshipped until the Lord called him away. Services were in charge of Bro. J.     CHARLES RANDALL

    The death occurred at 11.45 last night of Mr. Charles Randall 59 Queen street south, of Mr. Charles Randall [sic] in his 66th year. Mr. Randall passed away after nearly three years of suffering, which was always born patiently and well.Deceased was born in Hamilton, coming to Berlin when he was ten years of age. Later he lived in Bridgeport, and Elmira, being a continuous resident of the city for the past twenty-five years. He was a staunch member of St Peter's Lutheran church.A loving wife and three children survive him, whose loss will be deeply felt. The children are Mrs. Ruby Hilger, Toronto, Mr. August Randall, Bloomingdale, and Mrs. Dougal Carmichael of Owen Sound. Four brothers and two sisters also survive him, Harry in London, John Elmira, Joseph Berlin and Samuel Palmerston, and Mrs. Cuthrade [Cathrae] Elmira, and Mrs. Linty [Linder] of Berlin.The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock on Sunday afternoon from the house to St. Peter's Lutheran cemetery for burial.
