KUEPFER, Neil

Of Route 1, Millbank, passed away Thursday, Nov. 22 at the Children's War Memorial Hospital, London, Ont. He was born in Mornington Township 10 years ago, son of Mr. and Mrs. Israel Kuepfer of Route 1, Millbank.

Brother of Joseph of Route 1, Linwood, Jonathan, Nancy, Christina and Sarah, all at home and Clara (Mrs. Amos K. Kuepfer) of Route 1, Linwood, also survived by paternal grandmother Mary (Mrs. Christian Kuepfer) of Route 2, Atwood, and maternal grandmother Elizabeth (Mrs. Joseph Albrecht) of Route 1, Millbank; predeceased by three sisters.

Friends may call at the family residence after noon Saturday, where the funeral service will be conducted on Monday at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in the Seventh Line Amish Mennonite cemetery, Wellesley township; Bishop Joseph K. Jantzi officiating.

KUEPFER, Israel - Suddenly, at Stratford General Monday, Dec. 2, 1996, Israel Kuepfer of RR 1, Millbank.

He was born in Mornington township 74 years ago, a son of the late Christian W. and Mary (Kuepfer) Kuepfer. Israel was a deacon in the Old Order Amish Church.

Beloved husband of the former Esther Albrecht whom he married November 18, 1949. Ever remembered by his children, Joseph and his wife Mary of RR 1, Linwood, Clara and her husband Amos Kuepfer of RR 1 Chesley, Nancy and her husband Gideon Wagler of RR 3, Woodstock N.B., Jonathan and his wife Sarah of RR 1, Tiverton, Christena and her husband Eldon Albrecht of RR 2 Milverton, Sarah and her husband Reuben Streicher of RR 1, Newton. Also missed by 55 grandchildren. Dear brother of Jonathan and his wife Lena of Millbank, Samuel and Sarah Cornelius and Marie, Isaac and Christena, all of RR 1, Newton, Levi and Elmina of RR 1, Ethel, Len Kuepfer of RR 1, Milverton and Catherine Jantzi of RR 1, Newton. Also survived by a brother-in-law, Joh Zehr of RR 1, Newton and a sister-in law, Ruth Kuepfer of RR 1, Millbank.

Israel was predeceased by four children, Mary, Lydia, Eva and Neil; two grandchildren; two brothers, Solomon and Reuben; two sisters, Esther and Druscilla and two brothers-in-law Amos Kuepfer and John Jantzi.

Friends and relatives may call at the family residence, RR 1, Millbank after p.m. today (Tuesday) and until Thursday, Dec. 5, 1996 where the funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m with Bishop Joseph K. Jantzi officiating. Burial to follow in the 7th Line Amish Cemetery, Wellesley township

JOSEPH S. ALBRECHT

A retired farmer from Mornington Township, Joseph S. Albrecht, 88, died Sunday at the home of his son Henry at R.R. 1 Millbank. He had been ill for five months. Son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Albrecht, he was born January 12, 1868, in Wilmot Township. He was a member of the Amish Mennonite faith.

His wife, the former Magdalena Zehr, predeceased him in 1936. He is survived by five sons, Noah, Henry, Amos and Eli, all of Millbank, and Joseph of Linwood; one daughter, Mrs. Elan (Lydia) Horst of Newton; one brother, Daniel of Newton; two sisters, Mrs. Christian (Barbara) Herrfort of Newton and Mrs. Alfred (Christina) Bell of Kitchener; 32 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. Two sisters and four brothers predeceased him.

Simon Lebold - by Record Correspondent

Crosshill, Dec. 27 - Simon Lebold, 58, died at his late residence Sunday afternoon, following an illness of six weeks. The deceased, a farmer residing east of Millbank, was married to Mariah Boshart.

Surviving are his widow, five daughters, Mrs. S. Kuepher, Mrs. Joseph Albrecht, Mrs. Amos Albrecht, Mrs. Christ Kuepher and Mrs. Mose Kuepher, all of Millbank, and one brother Joseph of Wellesley Township.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday noon from his late resident to the 7th line A.M. Cemetery for burial. Bishop J. Kuepher will officiate.

MILLBANK - Mrs. Maria Steckly, 83, of Millbank, died today at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Solomon Kuepfer.

Born in Baden, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Boshart. She was an Amish Mennonite. Her first husband, Simon Lebold, died in 1937. Her second husband, Solo-mon Steckly, died in 1953.

Surviving are one stepson, Samuel K. Steckly of RR 2, Atwood; five daughters, Mrs. Amos (Mary) Albrecht and Mrs. Solomon (Catherine) Kuepfer, both of Millbank, Mrs. Elizabeth Albrecht of RR 1, Millbank, Mrs. Christian (Nancy) Kuepfer of Linwood and Mrs. Moses (Rachel) Kuepfer of Newton; one brother, Michael of Waterloo; And six sisters, Mrs:. Aaron B. Jantzi, Mrs. Moses, Bast and Mrs. Christian Roth; all of Wellesley, Mrs. Joseph` Dieholt of RR 1, Milverton, Mrs., Peter Lauther of Heidelberg and Mrs. John Albrecht of Kitchener. There are 23 grandchildren and 46. great - grandchildren. Three sisters predeceased her.

The body is at the Solomon Kuepfer home, Millbank, where the funeral will be conducted at 12: 30 p.m. Wednesday. Bu-dal will be in the Amish Mennonite Cemetery, Concession 7, Wellesley. Bishop Amos Albrecht will officiate.
