    HOFFMAN, Israel Went home to be with his Lord, on Friday, August 3, 1990, at K-W Hospital, Israel Hoffman, in his 82nd year, of 20 Nightingale Cres., Elmira.

    Beloved husband of Anna Bauman, dear father of Allan and his wife Helena of Elmira, Marie Martin and her husband Garry of Bancroft, Erma Martin and her husband Brice of Agincourt, Roy and his wife Sandra of Montreal, Reta Malloy and her husband Stuart of Elmira, Paul and his wife Evelyn of Sarnia. Fondly remembered by his 16 grandchildren. Brother of Amos of RR 1, Waterloo, Mrs. Katie Bauman of Elmira and David of RR 1 St. Clements.

    Predeceased by his first wife, Lucinda Gingrich and one brother, Sydney

    Israel was the Imperial Oil agent in the Elmira area for over 30 years. He was a member of the Wallenstein Bible Chapel, where he had served as an elder. He was an executive member of the Elmira branch of the Canadian Diabetes Association and a volunteer driver for Care-Ring. Israel also enjoyed his time spent assisting students at John Mahood public school.

    Friends may call at the Dreisinger Funeral home, Elmira, after 7 p.m. tonight (Saturday), where the family will receive their friends 7-9 p.m. and Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. At noon on Monday, transfer will be made to the Wallenstein Bible Chapel for funeral service at 1:30 p.m., followed by interment in Hawkesville cemetery.

    In his memory, donations to Joy Bible Camp, Bancroft or Conestogo Bible Camp would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.

Beloved wife of the late Israel Hoffman (1990). Loving mother of Allan and Helena of Elmira, Marie and Garry Martin of Bancroft, Erma and Brice Martin of Scarborough, Roy and Sandra of Montreal, Reta and Stuart Malloy of Elmira, Paul and Evelyn of New Liskeard. Fondly remembered by her 15 grandchildren and two great- grandchildren. Dear sister of David Bauman of Elmira and Selina Hoffman of Heidelberg.

    Predeceased by her parents, Henry S. Bauman and Lavina Steckle; six brothers; four sisters and one grandson.

    Anna was a faithful member of the Wallenstein Bible Chapel.

    The family will receive friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira, this evening (Monday) from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. At noon on Wednesday, transfer will be made to the Wallenstein Bible Chapel for funeral service at 2 p.m., followed by interment in the Hawkesville Cemetery.

    Mrs. Aaron Hoffman

    Mrs. Aaron Hoffman of near Heidleberg, formerly Lavina Martin, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. David Martin of near Wallenstein, passed away at the Kitchener-Waterloo hospital on Friday after a short illness. She is survived by her husband, and five children. The funeral took place from her late residence on Monday morning to the Three Bridges Mennonite church. Rev. Israel Weber and Rev. Urias Martin conducted the service. Interment took place in the adjoining cemetery.

    March 14-One of the oldest residents of this district, Joseph Hoffman died at his home near Heidelberg yesterday. Mr. Hoffman was in his 93rd year. Born in Pennsylvania, he had been engaged in farming until his retirement.
    The funeral will be held Wednesday from the residence at 9 a.m. Interment will take place at the Conestogo Mennonite Cemetery.

    Bauman - Martin H. Bauman was born Dec. 21, 1834; died Jan. 21, 1915; aged 80 y. 1 m. He was married to Rebecca Shantz. This union was blessed with 10 children, of whom 7 are still living; also 66 out of 80 grandchildren, and 7 of 8 great-grandchildren. He joined the Mennonite Church early in life and remained faithful to the end. He was one of those who could give good advice on many subjects, and his advice and example many do well to follow. Services and burial at Martin's Church near St. Jacob's Ont., Jan. 24, conducted by Ezra Martin and Tobias Martin.
