    WURR, Linda Lewis - It is with heavy hearts and sadness that our family announces the passing of Linda Wurr on October 27, 2015 at Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie at the age of 68. Our fun loving, happy go lucky and adventurous Linda leaves us all with memories of fun times and unlimited kindness. She will be fondly remembered for her radiant personality and her generous nature by her sister Olga Fay (Stephen Fay Sr.), her brother Benjamin Wurr (Ruth) and her sister-in-law, Marilyn Wurr (William d.2007). Her laughter will forever be imprinted in the hearts of her nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who she adored with all she had. Family and friends are invited to the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge at 1pm on Saturday, October 31, 2015 to share memories and stories of Linda. A Memorial Service will be held in the funeral home at 2pm. Those who wish to make a memorial donation in Linda's memory are encouraged to direct them to The Canadian Cancer Society .

    It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father on Wednesday October 17, 2007 at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital in his 96th year. Beloved husband of the late Faith (2004), loving father of Olga (Stephen) Fay, Ben Jr. (Ruth), Linda, dear father-in-law of Marilyn. He will be missed by his grandchildren Stephen, Kenneth, Gregory, Rosalie, Travis, Jason, and Shelly, his 12 great- grandchildren, and his nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his son William and his grandson Bradley.

    Mr. Wurr is resting at the Lounsbury Funeral Home, 1776 Franklin Boulevard, Cambridge on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. with interment following at New Hope Cemetery.

    At Coutts Pavillion in Freeport, on Wednesday, February 8, 1967, in his 85th year, of 741 Sherring St. in Preston. Funeral services the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, corner of Queen and Argyle Streets in Preston on Saturday at 2. Born in Crieff, ON, he resided in the Hespeler and Preston area all of his life and worked as a dyer at the Hespeler Woolen Mills, until retiring ten years ago. He was a member of the King St. Baptist Church in Preston. His wife, Isobel Cutting, predeceased him in 1965. Surviving are two sons, Valtin and Page, both of Preston; two daughters, Olive (Mrs. Reginald Wurr); Faith (Mrs. Ben Wurr) of Preston; one brother, John of London; one sister, Caroline (Mrs. Henry Leach) of Oshawa; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Interment Hespeler Cemetery.

    BOWMAN, JOSEPH

    At his home at 82 Lowell St. in Hespeler, on Tuesday evening at 9, August 10, 1915, in his 74th year. The funeral took place on Thurs, Aug. 12th at 2 from his residence to the Hespeler Cemetery. Surviving are his widow and children: Mrs. W. Black of Hespeler; Mrs. H. Fetter of Toronto; Mrs. Ed Cutting of Hespeler; Mrs. H. Cutting of Hamilton; Mrs. H. Leach of Guelph; Mrs. H. Black of Guelph; Mrs. G. MacDonald of Rochester; Mrs. J. Jones of Guelph; J. Bowman of Berlin; W. Bowman of Hespeler; A. Bowman of Galt; and E. Bowman of Hespeler. The pallbearers were his four sons, John, William, Albert and Irwin; Wellington Cutting and Frank McConnel. Mr. Bowman had been a resident of the city only since last spring, when he came here from his farm near Freelton.

Woolsey: Joseph Bauman, 1784-1856, shoemaker, of Herbolzheim, Breisgau, Baden and his wife, Josepha "Sepha" Wegmann-Spitz, born 1797, landed in Pennsylvania in 1818, serving for three years as indentured servants to David Lightfoot. They made their way to Waterloo Twp. by 1826, settling on lot 13, concession 1 in Beasley's Lower Block (Fisher Mills). In 1830 they settled on lot 33, front concession 8, Puslinch Twp.

    Funeral of Joseph Bowman.

    The funeral of the late Joseph Bowman, whose death occurred on Tuesday evening last, took place Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock from his late residence to the Hespeler cemetery where interment was made. Besides a widow, the following sons and daughters are left to mourn his loss: Mrs. W. Black of Hespeler, Mrs. H. Fector of Toronto, Mrs. E. Cutting of Hespeler, Mrs. H. Cutting of Hamilton, Mrs. H. Leach of Guelph, Mrs. H. Block of Guelph, Mrs. G. Mcdonald of Rochester, Mrs. J. Jones of Guelph, Mr. J. Bowman of Berlin, Mr. W. Bowman of Hespeler, Mr. A. Bowman of Galt, and Mr. E. Bowman of Hespeler. The pall bearers were four sons, John William, Albert and Irwin and Mr. Wellington Cutting and Frank McConnel.

    BOWMAN, ANNA CATHERINE (Nee Fetter)

    On Saturday, December 29, 1928, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Cutting of Waterloo Township, in her 84th year. She had been a resident of Hespeler for about fifteen years, coming here from Galt. Her husband, Joseph Bowman predeceased her by some thirteen years. She was born in Germany. Survived by seven daughters: Mrs. J. Wheeler of Toronto; Mrs. Hugh Johnston of Brantford; Mrs. Henry Leach of Oshawa; Mrs. Harry Black of Guelph; Mrs. Gordon McDonnell of Windsor; Mrs. Ed Cutting of Waterloo Township; and Mrs. W. Black of Hespeler; three sons, John Bowman of London; William and Albert Bowman of Hespeler; fifty-eight grandchildren, seventy great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. The funeral was held on Monday afternoon from the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. Black to the Hespeler Cemetery, with Rev. H. L. Merner conducting the service. Pallbearers: Gordon Black of Guelph; Leslie Cutting of Hespeler; Nelson Cutting of Brantford; Gordon and Wellington Cutting of Glen Christie; and Laverne Jones of Guelph.
