    Uploader's Notes: From Letters from the Front, Imperial Bank of Canada Born 12th December, 1880, at Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, England. Father, Joseph S. Tylor (deceased). Educated at the Collegiate Institute, Galt, Ontario. Entered the service of the Bank, 5th September, 1899. Enlisted, 30th September, 1915, from St. Thomas branch, where he was Manager, in 2nd Pioneer Battalion, with the rank of Captain and Quartermaster. Appointed Adjutant, 24th April, 1917. Transferred to 6th Battalion, Canadian Engineers, 24th May, 1918. Principal actions: St. Eloi, Somme, 1916; Vimy, Hill 70, Passchendaele, 1917; Amiens, Arras, 1918. Demobilized, 18th December, 1918. Returned to duty with the Bank, 11th December, 1918. NOTE: Captain Tylor served in the South African War with the 2nd Canadian Mounted Rifles as a Private in 1901. He holds the Queen's South African Medal with three bars. He took part in the action at HartsRiver in 1901.
