    Henry Schade

    The death of Henry (Harry) Schade, 78, of 28 Mary St., Kitchener, occurred at the K-W Hospital early today.

    Retired for the past 30 years, Mr. Schade had been associated with the General Mercantile Co., of Bridgeport. The son of the late Martin and Katherine Schade, he was born at Waterloo, June 9, 1868. He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran church and its brotherhood and was very active in church affairs. He had been a church trustee and a board member for 30 years and was one of the builders of the new church. Mr. Schade was also very active in the I.O.O.F., Kincardine, and had been an Oddfellow for 57 years. Seven years ago he was presented with the 50-year I.O.O.F. jewel. His marriage to the former Emma Yaeck, who survives, took place at Bridgeport Sept. 25, 1900.

    Surviving besides his wife are one son, Wilfred of Chicago, and two daughters, Mrs. Leonard Saunders, Pembroke, and Mrs. Walter Hill, Kitchener. Six grandchildren also survive.

    The remains will rest at the Schreiter Sandrock Funeral Home until Wednesday when removal will be made to the church for service at 2 pm. Interment will be in Waterloo Mt. Hope Cemetery, Rev. A. G. Jacobi will officiate.

    DEATH OF MRS. HARRY SCHADE

    The sad news was received by the Schade family yesterday morning of the death at her home in Manchester, of Mrs. Harry Schade, wife of the King street grocer, the immediate cause of death being galloping consumption. Some three months ago Mrs. Schade contracted a severe cold, which is thought to bave been the cause of this insidious disease. Thinking that a change might be beneficial she went to visit at her home in Manchester a couple of months ago. Shortly after arriving there she was taken to her bed and on Monday morning her husband left for his wife's dying. bedside in answer to a summons. She expired on Tuesday evening. The remains are expected to arrive here to day and the funeral will in all pro ability take place to-morrow afternoon. Mrs. Schade's maiden name was Sadie Spence, being a daughter of of Mr. W. Spence. She had a fine disposition, was bright intellectually and well educated. She leaves a mourning husband, father and mother, and five brothers and sisters, viz: John, teacher in public school, Toronto; Robert, Pt. Ferry; William, Manitoba; Frankie, teacher of Moderns at Peterboro Collegiate Institute; Nellie, teacher at Parkdale Collegiate, and Maud, a trained nurse at home.
