GORDON, ALLAN

Peacefully went to be with his Lord and Saviour on October 29, 2014 at Leamington Memorial Hospital, Leamington. Allan resided in New Hamburg, Ontario and was born 90 years ago in Bedell, Ontario. He was the son of the late Richard and Mary (Prosser) Gordon. Allan is predeceased by his loving wife Esther (Kraft) Gordon (December 25, 2013) with whom he had spent 66 married years. Loving father of Ruth & Gerard Ruetz of New Hamburg, Louise & Grant Pauli of Kingsville. Sadly missed by grandchildren, Steven (Christine), Kim, Jackie (Jason), Kathy, Eugenia (Rick), Tiffany (Dale) and his 11 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sisters Jessie and her husband Ewen Gannon, Dorothy and her husband Frank Harper, and Lilly and her husband Bill Bond. Allan was a member of First Mennonite Church, Kitchener and worked many years as a sales man for Maple Lane Dairy. Friends and family will be received at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron Street, New Hamburg on Sunday November 2, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place at the First Mennonite Church, Kitchener on Monday, November 3, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Nancy Brubaker officiating. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Mennonite Central Committee or Grand River Regional Cancer Center.
