    RIEHL, Albert Henry On October 27, 1977, at home, Albert Henry Richl, of 22 Boullee St.. New Hamburg. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, New Hamburg, and worked for Hahn Brass 28 years before retirement.

    Husband of Edna May Roth (Cook); survived by one son, Gerald Riehl of New Hamburg and one daughter, Ilene (Mrs. Lorne Krogman) of Taylor, Mich. He is also survived by one brother, Fred, of Toronto, and three sisters, Mrs. Elsie Cook of New Hamburg, Mrs. Eva Wismer of Cambridge (Galt) and Mrs. Mabel Moore of Toronto; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, Clara May Cook in 1935, by two sons, William and John, one daughter in infancy, one brother, three sisters and one grandchild.

    The late Mr. Riehl will be resting at the Omand-Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St., New Hamburg, where friends will be received by the family after 7 p.m. this evening, and on Friday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Removal will be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church at noon, on Saturday, October 30, where funeral service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m., with Rev. Schult officiating. Interment to follow in Riverside cemetery.

    Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Trinity Lutheran Church may be made as expressions of sympathy.

    BADEN, Oct. 28. - Clara May Cook, wife of Albert Riehl, R.R. No. 2 New Hamburg, passed away Saturday afternoon at the family residence after an illness of six months. Mrs. Riehl, a daughter of William Cook and Rebecca Ann Guthrie, was born in Haysville on March 30, 1889, and therefore was 46 years of age. She attended the Church of England.

    The parents, husband and four children, Ilene, William, Jack and Gerald, all at home, survive with three brothers, Andrew Cook, New Hamburg. Roy of German Mills, Ernst at Milverton, and one sister, Madge Cook, Haysville.

    The funeral will be held publicly Tuesday afternoon from the home at two o'clock to Christ Church, Haysville for services at 2.30. Interment will take place in Riverside Cemetery. Rev. R. C. Pitts will have charge of the services.

    Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. today at the Bruce J. Omand Funeral Home for Herman J. Vohs, who died on Sunday at the Kitchener-Waterloo Hospital. Mr. Vohs was 88.

    Born in Germany, he came to. Canada in 1903 and lived mostly in the New Hamburg area. He was a farmer until retiring seven years ago to live with his daughter, Mrs. John Riehl, 413 Huron St. He was a member of St. James' Lutheran Church, Baden.

    He was predeceased by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Johan Vohs, and by his wife, the former Frieda Krogman, two years ago.

    Surviving besides his daughter are three grandchildren.

    Rev. Ernest Felker will conduct the service. Burial will take place in Riverside cemetery.

    MRS. HERMAN VOHS Mrs. Herman Vohs, 413 Huron St., New Hamburg, died early Monday at K-W Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was 78. The former Frieda Helene Krogman she was born in Germany Feb. 10, 1889 and lived in New Hamburg for the past 5-1/2years. Before that she lived in Waterloo Blair, Pine Hill and Baden. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Baden, and a life member of the Lutheran Church Women. Surviving are her husband, whom she married May 25, 1911 in Montreal; one daughter, Mrs. Jack (Lillie) Riehl of New Hamburg and three grandchildren.She was predeceased by one son, one daughter, four sisters and two brothers. The body will be at the Bruce J. Omand Funeral Home, New Hamburg, until noon Wednesday when removal will be made to St. James Lutheran Church, Baden, for service at 2:30 p. m. Rev .Ernest Felker will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery.

    Mrs. William Cook

    HAYSVILLE. Mrs. William Cook, formerly Rebecca Ann Guthrie, died late Tuesday afternoon in her 77th year. She had suffered a stroke the day before.

    She was the daughter of the late William and Sarah Guthrie and was born at Fairmont, Ont., on April 11, 1867. She was married at Meaford in 1886. the couple coming directly to Haysville, where Mrs. Cook has lived for 57 years.

    Her husband predeceased her May 13, 1938. He was postmaster at Haysville for many years.

    Mrs. Guthrie was a lifelong member of Christ Anglican Church at Haysville

    The late Mrs. Cook is survived by three sons: Andrew of New Hamburg, Roy of Parkway, and Ernie of Wellesley; and a daughter, Madge, at home. Two children pre-deceased her, Clara (Mrs. Albert Pichl), and a son, William Stanley:

    There are two sisters, Mrs. J. Dollinger of Florida, and Mrs. Rae Glaser, Detroit. There are also 14 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

    Private funeral service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the late residence, with public services later at St. George's Anglican Church, New Hamburg. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, New Hamburg.
