REIST, Mary Evelyn (Evelyn) (nee Thomson) - Peacefully, with family by her side, on Wednesday, June 9, 2004, at St. Mary's General Hospital, Mary Evelyn Reist, of Kitchener, at the age of 80. Evelyn was a longtime employee of Auto Appraisal Ltd. in Kitchener and was a member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church. She was very much involved with the Y.B.C. Bowling at Victoria Bowl and enjoyed the last six months with the seniors program at Sunnyside Home. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Bob Reist, in 1997. Loving mother of Margo Magwood and Betty Jean (B.J.) and her husband Bill Graham, all of Kitchener. Evelyn will be deeply missed by her grandchildren, Katrina, Ross, and Lisa Graham and Nicole Magwood. Survived by her sister, Joyce Byrnes and her husband Paterson Davidson of Guelph. Remembered by numerous nieces and nephews and their families. She will also be missed by all her loving pets. Besides her husband, Evelyn is predeceased by her parents, Rex and Mary Thomson, sisters, Dorothy and Marjory and her twin brother Ronald. Special Mom and Grandma to Patty, Austin and Tanner of Kansas City, Missouri, Ruth Alves, and Jan, Terry, Kelly, and Jenny McLoughlin of Bartlet, Illinois. Visitation will be held at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, today (Friday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, June 12 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Bill Lamont officiating. Reception will follow at the Ratz-Bechtel Family Centre. Cremation with interment in St. Peter's Lutheran cemetery at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to St. Mary's General Hospital, 6th Floor, Respiratory Unit or to M.A.D.D. and may be arranged by contacting the funeral home at 745-9495
