    PRESTON, John H. Clawsey, 159 Laurel St., Preston, died today at South Waterloo Memorial Hospital, Galt, after a short illness. Born in Brantford, he lived in Preston for 50 years. He was associated with Clawsey-Sohrt Manufacturing Company Ltd., Preston. He was a member of St. Clement's RC Church, Preston, the Knights of Columbus and the Holy Name Society. Surviving are his wife, the former Beatrice Danskin, two sons, Leo and Alfred, both of Preston; six daughters, Dorothy and Shirley, both of Preston, Mrs. Len (Jean) Schultz, Mrs. William (Marie) Hurley and Mrs. James (Katherine) Baker, all of Preston, Mrs. Jack (Margaret) Lundy of Hamilton; one brother, William of Brantford; three sisters, Reta of Brantford, Mrs. William Keough of Buffalo and Mrs, Arthur Murphy of Kitchener; 16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The body will be at his home until 9: 30 a.m., Monday. Requiem high mass will be conducted, Monday, at 10 a.m., at St. Clement's RC Church. Burial will be in St. Clement's RC Cemetery.

Clawsey ; dear mother of Leo, Alfred, Dorothy, Shirley, Jean (Mrs. Leonard Schultz), Mrs. Kathleen Baker, Marie (Mrs. William Hurley), all of Preston. Mrs. Clawsey was born in Brantford and lived in Preston 60 years, a member of St. Clement's Church. Also survived by 12 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren; predeceased by one son, Donald and one daughter, Marguerite (Mrs. Jack Lundy). Mrs. Clawsey will be resting at her residence, 159 Laurel St., Cambridge (Preston), until Saturday morning, then to St. Clement's Church, for funeral mass, at 10 a.m. Interment in St. Clement's Church cemetery.
