Loving father of Ron (Norma) of Wellesley, Rick (Pam) of Wellesley, Larry (Mary Jane) of Wellesley and Linda (Stuart McMaster) of New Hamburg. Dear grandpa of 10 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by his sisters Dorothy Bockelkamp, Lucille Wendland and sister-in law Nancy Taylor. Predeceased by his parents Clayton Falk and Louise (nee Milbrandt), his great-granddaughter Kiera Lynn Wagler and his brother-in law Frank Wendland. Clarence owned and operated C.G. Falk Trucking in Wellesley for many years. He also farmed and did butcher work in the Wellesley area.     Clayton A. Falk

    Clayton A. Falk, North Easthope Township, died at his home on Tuesday of last week.

    He was born in North Easthope Township, son of Mrs. George Falk, Shakespeare, and the late Mr. Falk. He farmed in North Easthope Township all his life.

    He attended the Wellesley Missionary Church. He was a member of the Canadian Order of Foresters, Nith Court No. past president of the Wellesley 277. He was also a director and North Easthope Agricultural Society.

    Surviving besides his mother, are his wife, the former Louise Milbrandt; one son Clarence, Wellesley; two daughters, Mrs. Otto (Dorothy) Bockelkamp, Kitchener; Mrs. Frank (Lucille) Wendland, Elmira; seven sisters, Mrs. John (Ella) Ehnes, Wellesley; Mrs. Elmore (Viola) Heldman, Kitchener; Mrs. Alvin (Victoria) Milbrandt, Mrs. Herb (Mildred) Koch, both of New Hamburg; Mrs. Harry (Matilda) Capling, Mrs. Harvey (Florence) Becker, both of RR 1 New Hamburg; Mrs. Floyd (Edella) Meyers, RR 2 New Hamburg; nine grandchildren.

    Funeral services were held on Friday at the Wellesley Missionary Hall. A memorial service was held on Wednesday by the Court Nith, No. 277 Canadian Order of Forresters.

    Burial was in Rush's Cemetery.

    LEIS, Joseph On Saturday. March 25, 1989, at his residence, Pinehaven Nursing Home, Waterloo, age 82 years.

    Born in Wellesley, he was the son of the late Rudolph Leis and Eliza beth Bast.

    Husband of the former Iona Shantz; father of Robert and his wife Grace of Kitchener, Betty and her husband Clarence Falk of RR 1, Wellesley, Norma Sheppard of Kitchener and Nancy and her husband Paul Taylor of Waterloo; brother of Edna and her husband Enos Zehr of Millbank; grandfather of 15 grand- children and 12 great-grandchildren.

    Predeceased by one granddaughter, Barbara; two brothers, Bill and Walter and one sister, Leah Schultz.

    Mr. Leis' family will receive friends at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Monday from 7-9 p.m. Funeral and committal services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, Rev. Mary Mae Schwartzentruber officiating. Cremation will follow, with interment in Memory Gardens.

    Memorial contributions to a chari- ty of your choice would be appreciated.

    Friends and relatives are invited to the Reception Room of the funeral home, following the service.

    WELLESLEY. July 23 - Rudolph Leis, 39, died last night at his home in Wellesley after an illness of three weeks. Born in 1878 in Wellesley Townshiph, he was a retired farmer. His parents were the late Joseph Leis and Catherine Roth of Wellesley. His wife, the former Elizabeth Bast, predeceased him in 1942. He was a member of the Maple View Mennonite Church, 3rd line, Wellesley. Surviving ars his stepmother, Mrs. Magdeline Leis, Wellesley; three sons, William, Kitchener and Joseph and Waldemar, Wellesley; two daughters, Mrs. Elmer (Leah) Shultz, North Easthope and Mrs. Elmer (Edna)Brenneman, Wellesley; five brothers, John, New Hamburg, Soloman and Joseph R., Wellesley, Sidney Linwood and Elmer, London; five sisters, Mrs. Joseph Kropf, Misses Fannie, Mattie and Lydia, and Mrs. William Jantzi, all of Wellesley; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A private funeral service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at his residence, followed by a memorial service at the Maple View Mennonite Church at 2.45 p.m., with burial in the adjoining cemetery. Body is resting at the residence .

    WELLESLEY, Dec. 26 - Mrs. Rudy Leis, 63, died suddenly today at her home here. Born in Wilmot Township, her maiden name was Elizabeth Bast, She was a member of the third line Maple View Amish Mennonite Church. Surviving are three sons, William of Kitchener, Joseph and Waldemar of Wellesley; two daughters, Mrs. Elmer Schultz of North Easthope and Mrs. Elmer Brennemen of Wellesley; four sisters, Mrs. John Jantzi of Wellesley, Mrs. Mose Roth of Wilmot Township; Mrs. David Brunk of Wellesley and Mrs. David Miller of Baden; five brothers, Peter of Topping, Joseph of Waterloo, Andrew and Moss of Wellesley, Rudy of Crosshill and 11 grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are not complete. The funeral will be held on Monday at 2 p.m. from her late residence, followed by a service at Mapleview Amish Church at 2: 30. Interment will be made in the cemetery adjoining the church.

    Shantz. Norman, son of the late Daniel and Mary (Nahrgang) Shantz, was born near Haysville, Ont., Nov. 3, 1870; departed from this life Dec. 6, 1949; aged 79 y. 1 m. 3 d. In 1893 he was married to Mary Ann Rosenberger. To this union was born one son (Elmon, Kitchener, Ont.). In 1896 he was married to Emma Rosenberger, who survives. To this union were born 3 sons (Irvin and Leighton, New Hamburg, Ont.; Delton, Elmira, Ont.), and 6 daughters (Marion-Mrs. Omar Cressman, Plattsville, Ont.; Erra-Mrs. Walter Nahrgang, Ebenezer, N.Y.; Edith-Mrs. Melvin Cressman, Thorold, Ont.; Iona-Mrs. Joe Lies, Kitchener, Ont.; Reta-Mrs. Chris Brenneman, New Hamburg; and Erleen-Mrs. Walter Lies, Wellseley, Ont.). Surviving besides his wife and children, are 33 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, one brother (Simeon, New Hamburg, Ont.), and 2 sisters (Mrs. Ephraim Schmit, Baden, Ont.; and Mrs. John McKenzie, Kitchener, Ont.). About fifty years ago he accepted Christ as his Saviour during revivals at the Blenheim congregation. During the years his place was seldom vacant in the service and he sought to support the church to the best of his ability. Funeral services were held at his late home and at the Blenheim Church on Dec. 9 with Moses Bowman and Curtis C. Cressman in charge Interment was made in the adjoining cemetery.
