Funeral arrangements by Westmount Funeral Home & Chapel

On Tuesday, 01 May 2001 in his 79th year at St. Mary's Hospital after a long illness, bravely fought. Dick Markwell, beloved husband of Hildegard (nee Helbing) loving father of Ellie of California and Peter of Toronto.

Also loved by his grandchildren Bryan and Kevin. Brother of James and his wife Myra of England. Missed by his niece Sarah and her husband Paul, grand-nephew & niece Michael and Maddy.

Richard was a Royal Navy Veteran of the second world war. He came to Canada in 1952 and was a businessman in this area for many years. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

The family will receive friends at the Westmount Funeral Chapel, 1001 Ottawa Street South 743-8900 from 7-9 Wednesday (tonight). A private family Service will be held followed by Cremation. Donations to St. Mary's Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
